Spent 4 nights at the Hotel Elysees Union in October 2012. Comfortable but small, what you'd expect for the price. We could lean out of the window and see the Eiffel Tower. Very helpful staff - the lady at reception when we arrived (who could speak English well) leant us 20 Euros to pay our cab driver on arrival (he...

This hotel is within walking to the Eiffel Tower! The staff are very friendly and helpful. They do offer breakfast downstairs, however because we had excursions planned we didn't eat breakfast. The rooms are small and so was the bathroom but anywhere in Europe you will find this, everything was clean and comfy though.

We booked a triple room for three nights, and specifically asked for the lower floors. We duly got second floor - room 215 - three single beds, two pushed together and the third arranged in such a way that there was plenty of floor space. The receptionist apologised for not being able to provide a double bed, but it wasn't...

It was our family's first time in Paris. Had no idea what to expect. Straight from the airport got into the wrong kind of taxi, halfway when we realized how much he was going to charge us,my husband decided that when we got to the hotel, he was going to ask the reception how much the normal fare should be,...

We stayed here the last four nights of August 2012 and had a very enjoyable stay. The location is great; a short walk to the Arc d'Triomphe, the Metro and the Eiffel Tower. (We had a beautiful view of the tower out the window of our room.) The hotel is clean and the staff were extremely helpful and all spoke...

The obvious selling point is the hotels excellent location close to the metro and 10 mins walk to the arc de triomphe in one direction and the tour Eiffel in the other We stayed three nights and didn't have much call on the front of house staff However they seemed pretty helpful to the many American tourists Our room although...

We stayed for 7 nights at Hotel Elysees Union. A three-star hotel, in a great location. It is a quiet neighborhood, with views of the Eiffel Tower in the distance. In walking distance of the Arc and Champs Elysses. We stayed in a flat (suite) with two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a teeny tiny kitchen. It had a "washer/dryer" in...

We spent 3 nights here in September and spent a lot of time researching a hotel that would suit our group. It was just what we needed! Location great, just near Bossiere metro, cafes on Ave Kleber, and walking distance to the big attractions. Reception staff were fantastic and so helpful. The breakfast consisted of juice, yogurt, fruit, cereal and...

The website and photos are proof that photoshop is a valuable marketing tool. Everything on the website looks gorgeous and in actuality, in person, it all looks like the pictures. But in reality, the common areas are very faded and worn, very small and very very crowded when the hotel is full. The double room was so small that the...

Staying in Trocadero

Neighbourhood Profile
Trocadero
This is the neighbourhood of grand and impressive Haussmann-designed apartments and buildings. National museums overlook the Eiffel Tower and embassies fill the avenues and streets. Locals head to the butcher, florist, or bakery on their daily rounds amidst luxury and splendour, all with a view over Paris and its most famous tower. Snuggled in between the grand buildings are small art galleries and homes of historical significance. With a rich legacy from 19th century politics, art, and architecture, you can’t help but be reminded of the belle époque, the Universal Exhibitions and the nobility that have frequented and shaped these streets.
