In is in a great part of town. Easy walking distance to everything. The rooms are have a modern feel although the hotel has an older feel. Staff was so nice and helpful. The one hesitation I have is the room temperature control. The system they have can either be on heat or A/C but not both. When we stayed... More

This hotel was my favorite during my three week visit to Europe! The rooms are not very large, but was perfectly fine for my boyfriend and I. The rooms were clean and have windows that open up to the street and provide a beautiful view. The breakfast was delicious every morning, with fresh squeezed juice, and the staff was extremely... Great location and friendly, helpful staff. Hotel is clean and well maintained but the rooms are small. If you are planning on lounging in you room, this would not be my first choice. But if you are looking for a launching pad in the heart of the Left Bank, blast off!

We've stayed in Paris many times but have never stayed anywhere that we would want to go back to until now. Hotel Sevres is located in the far end of Saint Germain away from the main tourist areas and in a street that is quiet in spite of the restaurants and shops. The area had a lovely feel about it... The Sevres St Germain is an excellent hotel for the price. Sure, you can pay more (a lot more!) and possibly get a larger room in a hotel with more amenities, but this hotel is charming, comfortable, well-priced, and well-located! I love to walk as much as possible and the Sevres St Germain is perfectly located for walking -- I... More

This hotel has a single drawback: VERY small rooms -- though well appointed, with very comfortable beds. If you can put up with a tight space (why spend your time in your ROOM while you're in Paris?!) this is what you'll get: A great little hotel on the Rive Gauche -- not far from the Luxembourg Gardens. At a very... More

Great staff. Very helpful in answering questions to novices to the Metro! Rooms adequate size with updated decor. Central location. Close to three Metros. We were challenged at first to finding Placide. Breakfast included with a large variety to choose from. Offered shuttle service with fee to CDG early in the am.

Very good hotel with personnalized service and welcomming. Very clean. Decent breakfast. Beautiful decorated & warm hall. Comfortable rooms, in general small. Should try to choose the larger one, like the number 25 for ex.

My wife and I have stayed at this small excellent boutique hotel three times in the last five years and have been extremely satisfied each time. We find improvements in the room appointments, in the breakfast room and in the lobby over the years. Sevres Saint Germain is unique among small boutique hotels in having a mini-refrigerator in every room.... More

This was our 7th visit to the City of Lights and we have finally stayed somewhere we really enjoyed. This is a lovely little Parisian hotel run by very nice people in a really beautiful part of Paris. Close enough to everything but far enough away from the full on tourist places. This part of St Germain has it all,... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
