I stayed in this hotel with my husband and mother-in-law for 4 nights in mid-March. My mother-in-law was visiting from the US, and as this stay in Paris was her first introduction to Europe, we wanted to ensure that our hotel was well-located in relation to most of the major sites. My husband and I have stayed in Paris several...

Great left bank location. 10 minutes to Notre Dame. Great staff and large suites at a very resonable price.

We booked the Residence Henri IV on booking.com after researching on TripAdvisor. Can't say enough about how much we LOVE this hotel. The staff was extremely helpful with directions and suggestions at anytime of the day or night. The room was larger than your standard Paris room...we weren't hurdling over our baggage to get from the bathroom to the bed....

I have been meaning to write this review forever. My husband and I stayed at the Residence Henri for four nights during New Year's week. I can't say enough about the hotel or the charming staff. We had a room on the first floor with no balcony. However, it was very clean, spacious with a nice little kitchenette. Nice bathroom...

The Hotel Residence Henri IV is in a great part of town and very convenient to many of the popular tourist attractions. The hotel is at the end of dead end street which makes the immiediate area a little more quiet and intimate. However, once you walk to the first intersection, you are in the heart of the Latin Quarter,...

Wonderful Hotel in a great location. The rooms are very nice and large. Our room had a bedroom and a small living room with a couch that was made into a bed for our two sons. There is also a microwave and refrigerator. The bathrooms are modern and good sized. The staff was extremely polite and helpful. They patiently answered...

This was our first stay in Paris for my husband and I and we loved the Hotel Residence Henri 1V The Henry IV is in a beautiful part of Paris. The area is quiet and clean and feels safe, and being in a cul d sac makes it quiet at night even though it is still in a vibrant part...

If you like the left bank, the location is fabulous. The hotel is an easy walk to many legendary attractions such as Notre-Dame de Paris. It is also proximal to the "on and off" water taxi and the subway at Saint Michel which expands your range to most of the city. The staff was friendly and quite helpful. They appoached...

The Hotel Residence Henri IV is a gem. We booked this hotel because it looked like we would feel like we were in Paris instead of some ultra modern hotel that we normally gravitate towards. Most of the other hotels we considered were in my opinion, way overdone with floral patterns on the bedspreads, curtains, walls and the carpet, so...

We started our vacation off at Henry IV and absolutly loved it! It is a quaint, beautiful hotel and the staff is outstanding. We loved it from the second we pulled up and saw the red door. They took care of every need immediatly and provided us with all the help and information we needed to get around the city....

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighbourhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
