We wanted a hotel near Gare Lyon. The hotel wasn't cheap, but near Metro station and walking distance to many Paris attractions. The hotel is operated by a family. On the day we arrived, a grandmother was in the kitchen, and we waited for a few minutes till a woman checked us in. Fortunately the hotel had plenty of vacancies....

I stayed at Hotel Anya for a week and I would definitely go there again when I am in Paris. The building is old but the room was clean and nice. The staff were extremely friendly ( I think it's a hotel run by a family). It's very cheap for Parisian standards but if you're just looking for a clean...

It's ok for the price. Friendly staff, free wifi and hastle free. Good location. But staines on the blankets and broken pieces of furniture could do with some attention. A splash of paint won't hurt ither.

It was too expensive for the quality of the property. The bathroom/toliet was too small. It was more like a house that was forcely turned into a hotel. It has no elevator and the spiral staircase was scary. The only good thing about it is it is close to a Metro Station and Mcdonalds.

I can't actually address the hotel itself, having never laid eyes on it. I do warn, though, that it engages in shady practices amounting to robbery. I booked a reservation in August of 2013 for the following September--but when I saw it had been booked instead for 2014! I immediately cancelled. A year later, I was charged for the original...

I stayed at this hotel this Bastille Day weekend, I had booked about 6 months ago and when I checked on Tripadvisor a couple of weeks ago I was worried. To be honest, I dont really know what people were moaning about, yes it's not 5 star, it could do with a bit of love and attention but quite frankly...

The place is close to the Voltaire Metro station, and the taxi stand on Place Voltaire. Rooms are small and smelly. Linen is stained and there cigarette burn holes in the sheets and pillow cases. The bathrooms are a shoddy retrofit, barely workable. Only small hand towels are provided, no bath towels. No lift, only a small spiral staircase to...

Good area, nice staff and almost everything clean, with wifi and private bathroom. I found the room nice and clean, but the only thing that really I couldn't handle was the bed sheets which seemed to be old/dirty from heavy use.. ended up sleeping dressed in the top of them lol BUt it's in a good location with nice staff.

It is in a nice neighborhood, near to Bastille and Metro Voltaire. The hotel itself is old-fashioned seedy, like a period setting in a movie from the 1950s or 60s. If you want modern amenities, keep looking.

First off you have to put this hotel into context. Paris is in my opinion one of the worst cities in the world for hotels. The demand from visitors and limitations on supply mean they are all grossly over-priced. So comparatively the room here which for 55 Euros offered a (small) double bed, a TV and a bathroom looked poor...
