My friend and I recently went on a HUGE trip to see as much of Europe as we could in approx. one months time. With all the changing of hotels, lugging suitcases over cobblestones, and various subways and taxis taking us everywhere, the Hotel Bersoly's Saint Germain felt like home. Upon arrival Sylvie greeted us at the desk with with...

It is always a pleasure to return to the Hotel Bersolys, particularly so this year, as Madam Sylvie, the charming owner of the hotel, has added new suites. The Bersolys now combines its convenient Left Bank location with ample space, which is a rarity in this area. The suites are very comfortable and the rooms are quaintly furnished with excellent...

Great location in the charming St Germain Area close to the Louvre. we spent 3 nights in May 2015. I had requested front facing rooms for ourselves and friends. The Hotel confirmed these rooms immediately, and we were very happy with them. They were not large( I do not expect large rooms in these old type of Paris Hotels) ,...

Although the Hotel Bersolys has an excellent location near the Musee D'Orsay and the Louvre, I do not recommend this hotel. The room was the typical Paris postage stamp sized, which looked onto an inner corridor making the room dark. The room smelled of sewer smells if you tried to open the window. The bathroom was even smaller than French...

The hotel is ideally placed close to Louvre and Rue De Bac train station, its central and has a certain old Paris culture to it we spent 2 nights and loved it, accept the lift could just accommodate one big adult at one time going up or down. The staff both gentleman's very nice, helpful and forthcoming to show us or...

My family of five, children ages 10, 7 and 4, stayed there and had a great experience. The hotel staff was incredibly friendly, helpful and accommodating. Each day Sylvie asked where we were going, made recommendations, helped us call to confirm reservations, etc. The rooms were clean and cute. We stayed in a "family room" which is like two connected...

I spent a couple of nghts at this lovely boutique Hotel conveniently located in the "artis's area" of Paris. Quite close to Blv St Germain and just a few hundreds meters far away from le Bonne Marche. Despite of the size of the room have to say it is really lovely

Bersloys is a small, boutique hotel with a perfect location for tourists - on the Left Bank within easy walking distance of the Louvre, D’Orsay Museum, St Germain, Notre Dame and lots of cafes and brasseries. It’s on a side street, without much outside noise. Rooms are small (but not surprisingly so for Paris at Bersoly’s price point) and distinctively...

We were in Paris just before Easter and had a hard time finding a reasonably priced hotel for a family of 4. Hotel Bersolys has some "family rooms", which are basically a double and a twin (triple optional) adjoining rooms with a separate entrance. Each room has its own bathroom/toilet. Rue de Lille is a quiet side street, just of...

This hotel was just perfect as a French hotel, right in the centre of an area of France we love. Great bars nearby; wonderful retail therapy; meandering the streets … (Trip Advisor wants me to write more..but why? Enough said!)

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
