First of all Hotel Amarys is cheap and only rated one star, so don't expect luxury! My partner and I booked this hotel as part of our inter railing trip around Europe. Paris was our first stop. If you are looking for a hotel that is very cheap and basic, a short metro journey from Paris centre and zero luxuries...

Except the cleaning staff this place in my opinion is good for nothing from our 3 nights stay. My first impression wasnt good at all, as we reached around 11am in the morning receptionist wasnt welcoming at all. We knew that checkin time was at 2pm,but we asked him for a favour just to drop our bags just to go...

It's close to midnight. They (not sure who) is slamming doors and windows now for at least 30 minutes. They screwed up the reservation I made with them. They printed it out so they had to find me a room. They put me on the 6th floor...no elevator. The noise is still going on. I seldom give a poor rating...

My fourth stay in Hotel Amarys Simart was terrible. The first three stays in 2011, 2013 and 2014 were okay. I always stay there for business. Bedbugs! I complained but the hotel staff even accused me of bringing the bugs. I have to wait for the cleaning ladies for 5 hours until they finished cleaning all the other rooms before...

As other reviewers wrote, this hotel does not have elevator (however it's good exercise) or A/C. We stayed for 6 nights. Every night we heard the police sirens, people screaming, etc. Subway station is about a minute from the hotel, really convenient, because it is easy to get into most of the touristic places. There are also supermarkets close to...

Paris. The Louvre was incredible, Sacred Coure was amazing, Montmartre incredibly interesting. Hotel Amarys Simart uh horrible does not do it justice. Now before anyone says I am just a spoiled American I will preface this review by saying I am very used to traveling on the cheap. I have stayed in cut rate hotels in Tijuana Mexico, Olongapo the...

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights during the Euro 2016 matches. It was cheap enough and we weren't looking for anything posh so decided to give it a go. We had read reviews about being no lift at the hotel, and when we arrived we were on the sixth floor! Was no problem for us except carrying a case...

Nice hotel if you are looking for non luxury value for money hotel. You pay 76€ in the center of Montmartre walking distance to sacre coeur and the center of Montmartre. Rooms are tiny but the bed so comfortable and the bathroom is clean. Staff are friendly and helpful. Left our bags for the whole day at the concierge for...

Staying in Montmartre

Neighbourhood Profile
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colours, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
