Just got back from 2 day break 26/28th Oct, lots of mixed reviews made me a bit nervous as had a vile hotel in turkey in august.this one was fab. Yep no lift but it added to the atmosphere of Montmarte which consists of many steps. Room smallish yes but ample room for 2 in our case. Out all day...

I stayed in this hotel for a week for a conference. It is just a short walk away to Sacre Coeur and literally just around the corner from the subway. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean, although tiny, but I think that is just normal for Paris. Overall it was a great experience and...

The perfect hotel if you are not too fussy and don't have much money to spend. The location is good but the hotel is very poor.; no lights on the stairs, the maids don't have a clue about how to do a bed, only 1 towel for two people, they don't hoover the rooms, the room itself is dated and...

I stayed here for three days here during my short trip to Paris. The location is good, just a short stroll from the Metro station and a bustling street, but that's probably the only good thing about it. Rooms are old, and for a fourth floor room we were given, there is no lift! There is no air-conditioning either. The...

It was good for what we paid for, we didn't spend that much time in the room, just to sleep and shower and have an early breakfast...but other than that ok. But I don't think i will stay here again as the day we where leaving we did hear the area was not very safe, luckily we had a good...

Funky hotel with helpful staff. We are a couple of +60 who enjoyed a week in a small room on the first floor. Clean toilet/bath and paper thin walls. Fine for visitors like us who stay out for most of the day, cruising the Montmartre and rest of Paris. Close to the metro and in walking distance of Sacre-Cour. Not...

I would advise anyone to avoid this hotel. My husband and I stayed at this hotel at the beginning of May 2015, we decided to spend a week in Paris for our 1st year wedding anniversary but we also wanted to keep the price down as we wanted to do a lot whilst we were there, mistakenly we decided to...

Just spent a week there for a Paris vacation on a budget. It is old, carpets are old, walls are old, bathroom is old. It's Paris. No elevator either. I don't have an issue climbing a set of stairs. If you want a 5-star hotel then pay the 5-star prices. If you want a place close to Montmartre, has a...

The hotel have 7 floors without lift. The room smells mold. The bathroom is terrible. And if you complain about something they act all rude with you. Terrible idea stay at this hotel. I do not recommend at all!! You can hear all the talk and noises in the other rooms!

Staying in Montmartre

Neighbourhood Profile
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colours, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
