Cosy hotel ideally located near the Grand Boulevards and citycentre. Close to the railwaystations as well. Friendly staff, comfy rooms and some with a huge bathroom. Great breakfast even though the eating room is rather small-sized.

We arrived on November 12 for our anniversary celebration. Our trip was interrupted by the tragic events of November 13, but we always felt safe and secure at the hotel through the following week. The hotel is a bit of a throwback, but absolutely charming. The front desk showed us multiple rooms and allowed us to choose at check in....

I just realized that I failed to submit a review of this charming hotel following our stay last fall. We selected this hotel based on 1. Price and 2. Convenient access to the Metro. We were not disappointed. Total charm! Pastries nearby if you don't want to pay for hotel breakfast. MAKE SURE to study your map carefully before finding...

This hotel is a real find. Staff could not have been more gracious and welcoming. If you want sleek and modern with every possible amenity, stay at the Waldorf in New York. If you want charn, a romantic setting and atmosphere, old world comfort (but modern plumbing and comfortable bed and bathroom facilities) and the ambience and spirit of Paris,...

Wonderful hotel that harks back to yesteryear. Welcoming and informative staff with uncharacteristically large rooms for a hotel in France. The room was spotlessly clean with a fantastic view to Montmatre and Sacre Coeur. The buffet breakfast catered for all with a comprehensive spread of meats, chesses and french pastries. I stayed with my husband for a romantic break but...

Amazing location, very close to airport shuttle and Galleries Lafayette. Near metro station. Big rooms and bathroom in a stylish, 1800's building. Very helpful staff. In the middle of everything, very close toall the touristic and shopping areas

We stayed here for only a single night at the end of a three-week trip. And after three weeks of not really sleeping, this was a welcome respite. It was a nice room in an old-fashioned and comfortable hotel. We got in at about 6 p.m., dropped off our stuff, and left. We got back a little after midnight and...

Centrally located kind of around the corner from Gallerie Lafayette! Old worldly and a bit pokey but so well located it's worth staying here! Expensive for what it is but that's Paris prices for you!! Staff are lovely, especially the Polish girl who services the rooms!! Even got breakfast to the room at no extra charge which was nice!! I've stayed here a few times on business. It's a very old hotel (1880) and charming, though a little worn. Despite being a one-way street, rue Saint-Lazare is a very noisy, high-traffic street. Given the age of the hotel, you can also hear what's going on next door and out in the hall. Floors creak, etc. That said, this hotel...

An excellent hotel. Typical French charm with a lift from the turn of the century. We had a spacious room with antique period (1880's) furnishings. Modern bathrooms. Great European breakfast. The croissant were excellent. Only draw back our room face the rear and our view was a near by office building. Otherwise great.

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
