I agree with most of reviews, the room is very small and bathroom could be better. To put in the positive side: location is perfect, walking distance to several attractions and restaurants. The service is excellent, wifi was good also. I already stayed in other hotels in area and all of them had same issue of space. One idea is...

Small rooms between 12 m2 and 13 m2 including a tiny bathroom of 1.20 m by 1.80 m with a bathtub! Imagine how much space is left for you to move. We had a queen double bed with less than 50cm space on its sides to reach it. After complaining we were moved to a "family" room for 3 of...

First time stay here and choose this hotel for my wife and younger son's first visit to Paris because I know the district and neighborhood from previous business trips. Excellent location that is walking distance to Notre Dame, the Lourve, d'Orsay, Pantheon, Cluny and other museums and attractions. Close to metro stations and many fine restaurants in the fifth district....

We stayed here for three nights from June 12-14, 2014. We were traveling with a large group and the Mercure Paris La Sorbonne was very accommodating. The room was perfect. The bed...amazing! Be prepared to have a soaking wet bathroom when you shower here, though. The shower itself was fine, just not enough of a barrier to keep water from...

The hotel is modern and clean, the area is very convenient, a couple of minutes walk from st Michel (two stops from Gare du Nord with RER B), quarter Latin and Notre Dame. Pantheon and Jardins du Luxembourg are also walking...

Stayed in this hotel due to the location and price. Very reasonable for Paris prices and a really good spot. Rooms are very small but if you are like me you are only there to sleep. We stayed for 6 nights. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The staff were so pleasant and accommodating. We especially liked Elodie. There was another front desk staff person that was great but unfortunately we didn't get her name. The room was a nice size. We were in 442 overlooking the courtyard. There was no view but we appreciated the quiet....

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighbourhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
