We stayed at the Hotel Castex for three nights in November. It is located near the Place de Bastille in the Marais. Lots of places to eat, sightsee and shop nearby. Small but comfortable room, bottle of wine in the room upon arrival. Very helpful...More
We have stayed here twice for the convenience and the welcoming staff. Both times in December. The hotel is located near the Bastille Metro stop. The rooms are clean, comfortable and everything works. The staff is always there to help.
Very friendly owner to welcome you. Good quality room and good range at breakfast. Great location, walking distance to everywhere in the town centre, but not so central as to be noisy at night. Fully recommended.
We stayed at the Hotel Castex for 6 nights and had a very quiet and pleasant stay. The hotel is located in a very nice area near the Place des Vosges (which has got to be the loveliest spot in Paris) and the Marais. Fabulous...More
Looked lovely on the internet but the best room is the breakfast room - great breakfast offered.
My room quite small although I had a big bed with a good mattress.
No wifi in room (so sporadic that non-existent).
Front desk chap was great.

The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendour. This neighbourhood unites a rich mix of
people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.

Hi Anne! 2 girlfriends and I booked and stayed in the triple room in Sept. It has a single bed downstairs, pretty steep stairs up with 2 singles in the loft. It is a pretty tiny space, but clean and comfortable. The window does have a very French view. We loved the location close to transportation, cafes, and a grocery story.
Hope this helps! Have fun!
