We stayed here with our friends during a fairly extreme heat wave and our stay was very poor.
I can't understand the positive reviews others have made. The hotel may be well located for the tourist attractions but that is about it as far as...More
We really enjoyed our stay at the Castex Hotel. It is in a great location, easily walkable to shops, restaurants and touristy sites. Near Bastille, there are less touristy streets which is also nice to get a taste of 'real' Paris. Tip: if you want...More
This hotel is in a quiet side street in the Marais district near Bastille, which is only a few stops on the Metro from the Eurostar at the Gare du Nord. The hotel sent us a questionnaire beforehand asking if there was anything they could...More
We booked at the last minute, our last day in Paris. The location could not have been better. Walk to the Seine, Bastille Metro nearby, Le Marais sights. Plenty of cafes in the neighborhood. Small groceries, too. Complimentary wine (a fine Vacqueyras from the owner's son!)...More

Hi Anne! 2 girlfriends and I booked and stayed in the triple room in Sept. It has a single bed downstairs, pretty steep stairs up with 2 singles in the loft. It is a pretty tiny space, but clean and comfortable. The window does have a very French view. We loved the location close to transportation, cafes, and a grocery story.
Hope this helps! Have fun!
I took an Uber from the airport. Otherwise they recommend a taxi or the bus. I believe you can take several trains but after an overnight flight from the states I wasn't in the mood for navigating the train. ;) Uber wasn't... More
