The hotel is really cute, very well located, surrounded by restaurants and near the metro. The breakfast lacked another juice fruits and other things but the setting was ageeable. Being side by side with the lift made the stay very noisy, which is a real...More
Besides being clean, we are looking for 3 characteristics in hotel rooms: quiet, air conditioned and with a strong shower. Our room at the Castex was clean but was noisy. There is no carpeting anywhere. The first time we heard our neighbors come into their...More
We have stayed at the Castex Hotel on four occasions, three of which were in the same room. The rooms are very comfortable and very clean. The location is perfect for exploring Paris on foot. The staff are friendly, very helpful and conversant in English...More
I was hoping to find a cozy boutique hotel on a medieval Marais street, but booking a weekend in Paris two weeks in advance in the summer does not permit pickiness. Castex is indeed on a small, quiet street within minutes of Bastille and the...More
The Castex was a nice place to stay to see Paris. The rooms are very small, but clean and tastefully decorated. Good strong A/C with contols in the room. The location is good also; the Bastile Metro Station is about 3 blocks away. The center...More

Hi Anne! 2 girlfriends and I booked and stayed in the triple room in Sept. It has a single bed downstairs, pretty steep stairs up with 2 singles in the loft. It is a pretty tiny space, but clean and comfortable. The window does have a very French view. We loved the location close to transportation, cafes, and a grocery story.
Hope this helps! Have fun!
