Small hotel with an excellent staff in a great location. Close to bus and Metro stops, interesting boutiques, the best apple tarts in Paris at Poilaine and just a short walk to the Seine. I enjoyed breakfast in the sunny solarium and a glass of wine at the intimate bar. The people at the front desk spoke excellent English and...

We chose the hotel based on trip advisor reviews and were delighted. Ideally located for all the major attractions a great balance of being close enough to all the restaurants and bars without being noisy. Very clean and well furnished. Breakfast excellent with fresh orange juice tea and coffee pastries and cheese, ham and bread. Staff attitude very welcoming. No downsides.

The hotel is very convenienly located, near many bus stops and a metro. (I used only buses as I like to see where I am. The neighbourhood abounds in good restaurants. Room was too small for two people but I was solo so it was fine. Bathroom is well designed - has hair dryer, magnafying mirror, and toiletries. Staff are accomodating...

Like previous reviews, this is on a quite little street in the St Germain area. Great location, close to 3 metro stops as well as all of the shopping and dining that the Latin Quarter offers. Rates were reasonable and we found less than similar hotels on the Right Bank. Beds were super comfortable. Room as a bit small but...

I will definitely be back to this hotel. Very well located on a small street however in the middle of it all with good restaurants and shops right on the street. Friendly and very helpful staff. The best hotel breakfast we had on our trip with their awesome fruit bowls and fresh croissants. We had a Superior room (twin) on...

Just returned from a weekend stay at Hotel La Perle. The hotel is in a great location - just a minute's walk from the beautiful St Sulpice Square and 5 minutes walk from the excellent shopping on the Boulevard St. Germain, but the rooms are tiny, even by Parisien standards. I had a twin room as sharing with a friend...

My husband and I stayed here 4 nights while sightseeing in Paris. We didn't want a chain hotel, and wanted something a little off the beaten path. This hotel is lovely. It doesn't look like much from the street, but the rooms are quite comfy and good sized. After all I'd heard about tiny European hotel rooms, this place was...

This is an excellent hotel smack in the middle of the 6th arrondissement and a short walk from a metro station. Very comfy and clean rooms. We stayed here for a night during our stay in Paris while we were in transit. Turned out to be a really good option. There are many eateries in and around the area. It's...

The location of this hotel is superb. Right in the heart of St Germain & the very beautiful St Sulpice square at the end of the street, you can't go wrong. We arrived before check in and our room was ready early, which was helpful. To top it all, we were told we had a free upgrade! We had a...

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
