This is a lovely little hotel, with comfortable, decent-sized rooms. Breakfast isn't included, but is great value - you'd struggle to get the same for less in any of the local cafes. We had a room overlooking the courtyard, so no view, but perfectly quiet at night. The location is unbeatable - walking distance from a number of metro stations,...

We spent 4 nights at the hotel for a whirlwind tour of the city. The location couldn't have been better. The Marais, Louvre, Eiffel Tower, Luxembourg Gardens, Bon Marche etc were all a 15- 30 minute walk away. There are so many restaurants in the area it was hard to choice where to eat each day. The staff were attentive...

I just returned from a 4 night stay along with my aunt and daughter. We had a triple room which we totally enjoyed. We've been to Paris several times and are well aware of room sizes so we considered this a very large room. The decor is lovely and the amenities in the room including a tea kettle and umbrellas...

We had a lovely 4day stay here. Brilliant location and lovely staff - the umbrella in the room was a nice touch (and only needed once!). Comfy bed! The surrounding streets are lovely and relaxed for a morning coffee and croissant and then very vibrant in the evening with bars and restaurants all busy and bustling. Everywhere is walkable from...

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
