We have now stayed at the Welcome Hotel five or six times. We always have a good time because it is so well located. It is just off the St. Germain de Pres within easy walking distance of many well known cafés (e.g., Cafe De Flore), museums, the Seine, etc. it is also very close to a couple of Metro...

Dear Jim M, We would like to thank you for choosing our hotel again. All your remarks were considered as every feedback can help us to improve our services. However, as Welcome Hotel is an old French building, we can not propose bigger rooms. Few years ago, we used two rooms to make one triple. Maybe a room with two...

Location cannot be faulted as it's right in Saint Germaine where so many restaurants, cafes and shops abound. I stayed with 2 other friends in a triple sharing room. The room was okay, not great. Very standard but clean and comfortable. I would say this is good value for money. However, if you want it a little more upscale, then...

Dear Penciltoon, We thank you for choosing our hotel. Welcome Hotel is a simple two star hotel located in a wonderful area. That is how you described our hotel, and that is true. Welcoming, cleanliness, and comfort are our main priorities. People looking for more services, spa, restaurant, large and modern rooms, will go in a 3 or 4 star...

I've stayed at a few Saint Germain des Pres hotels over the last four years but this is definitely the best to date. Sent here at no notice when another Expedia hotel refused to honour the booking in the middle of peak tourist season I was naturally very concerned - yet the staff were accommodating and the room rate reasonable...

Dear Liquidseal, What a kind comment you wrote about your experience at Welcome Hotel! Thank you very much! You are totally right saying that Welcome hotel is an old French building with small rooms, bathrooms, corridors and lift! But do not worry, even if the elevator is small, it is not as old as the building! The engine is new...

I just returned from two week stay at the Welcome with my daughter and 2 granddaughters; the location is absolutely the best!! The rooms vary in size, as do the bathrooms...i would highly recommend being sure...

Dear Hoghappy, Thank you very much for sharing your opinion. We are pleased to read that you had a great time in Paris with your daughter and granddaughters. It is a good idea to come with your family and Paris was Sunny those days! You could walk to the River, and even the Eiffel Tower, at around 35 minutes walk!...

I love this hotel! It has no great perks--or pretensions--but it has one of the best locations in all Paris, its front-desk staff are uniformly kind, friendly and English-fluent and it is extremely reasonably priced. For those of us who are used to paying far too much for far too little in Paris, and for snooty service and unexpected extras,...

Art This was my 4th stay at Welcome hotel at Rue de Seine and, towards the Seine, it is home of many art galleries, with Pont des Arts and Louvre on the other end and I love art. Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
