Forget the one star rating. Yes, this hotel has no elevator, TV in the room or a fancy lobby, but it makes up for all that in authenticity and left bank Parisian charm. If you come to Paris for a cookie cutter hotel go to...More
Rooms very dated and bathroom not all that clean. I was there in June so it was very warm and without air con it was very hard to sleep. Location was good. Would not recommend, you can definitely do better in Paris.
We revisited the Hotel San Andres des Artes after a 23 year visit. The hotel has been upgraded over the years. There was free wifi available. The rooms are small but comfortably appointed. The stairs were tricky to maneuver through especially with luggage.

As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this
area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighbourhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.

I would say the easiest way would depend on how many people are in your party. We are a family of five with three children and had lots of luggage so we used a minivan taxi. We traveled from the hotel to the airport and the hotel arrange a taxi for us. There is a company that they recommended and we went with that company. The cost of the ride was about €83 and the trip to look around 40 minutes.
