Detailed Reviews
After much research, I booked Hotel Beaurepaire for my husband and I based on the location and great price. We requested a balcony room as we were celebrating our anniversary. We were pleasantly surprised to have been granted our request upon arrival and the balcony was 1000% the move. I would have been disappointed in the accommodations without it. Made the small room feel much bigger and you get to experience the sounds of the neighborhood. The hotel has no AC which was fine for the cooler temps we experienced. There is a fan in the room which helped as well. The bathroom is so small. Nice shower but you can hardly sit on the toilet, the wall is so close to it. Turn down service was wonderful, everything in the room clean, and the Nespresso machine was great. You can hear other guests through the walls but the fan drowns it out. The hotel could use some upgrades in the lobby and stairwells. The elevator is as small as they say; room for one person and maybe one suitcase. Great restaurants and bakeries in the neighborhood and easy access to the Metro and bus lines. Overall we loved being in this neighborhood and the staff was so helpful and friendly.

Dear Christiannajos, Thank you very much for staying at our hotel. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay. However, we have taken a note concerning the room and the lift. It is true that our hotel is very good located, near the public transportations, restaurants, bars. The main train stations are 10-25 minutes walking distance. We hope to welcome you the next time you come to Paris. Best regards reception

We stayed here for 3 nights and it was great. Close to the metro and in a really cool neighbourhood. We were able to walk into the centre of the city from here quite easily - if you are up for it. Definitely not a 2 star hotel - rating should be 3 stars!

The hotel is centrally located and there's quick and easy access to the metro. We took the metro to most of thebattractions around Paris, so that was definitely a plus. The room we had was quite small, but reasonable I presume for Paris. The biggest issue I had with the hotel is their WIFI. The connection was unbearably slow and had a lot of issues connecting and reconnecting to it.

Hotel's Favourite
I enjoyed my solo stay here and the standard room was fine for one, but would have been a squeeze for two. The room was spotlessly clean though with a very omfortable bed and qood quality toiletries and a Nespresso machine. Breakfast was simple, but fine if you don’t have time to visit a local cafe or bakery. I found all the staff friendly and helpful and the daily maid service very thorough. The location is great and seemed to be 20 minutes walk from everywhere I wanted to go. The Velib city bikes can be picked up close by for longer journeys.

First impressions when entering the building was «wtf did I book». Tiny entrance that didn’t feel quite welcoming, just like the elevator, could barely fit in it with my suitcase. When I exited the elevator to my floor, all of the lights were out, and they didn´t switch on, I had to use flashlight from my phone in order to see the room...
Over to the service: horrible service by an indian receptionist who spoke neither french nor proper english. We were two friends who had booked a room together, but my friends flight was delayed so I naturally checked in before. When my friend came to check in, the receptionist denied her entrance(!!?) and called up to my room in order to confirm, instead of checking the actual booking. Then later, around 1am this man came and knocked on our door and meant that my friend shouldn’t be allowed to stay? Altough we had booked a room for 2 and payed in advance? I have never experienced such bad service, and a receptionist repeatingly calling and knocking on my room door. This was absoloutely outrageous. What would have been a 3 night booking, ended the following morning, and even then the receptionist got rude when I said the stay didn’t go so well.
Also: the rooms where cramped and tiny, shower had a dirty towel laying on the floor, no AC- just a tiny fan, the mattress kept sliding and the room was dusty (got allergies? Stay far away!) The photos of the hotel are misleading at best.
Overall I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, I am baffled by this experience and would advice you to save your money and go to a hotel where staff behave and give proper service. So disappointed.

Dear SaniaReiser, Thank you very much for staying at our establishment. We regret to hear that you did not enjoy our service. However, we noticed some confusions, like the tiny entrance, the indian receptionnist girl during the night, dirty towels downstairs.. etc We hope to welcome you the next time you come to Paris in good conditions. What a wonderful experience - from the very beginning when the staff gave us a warm they were very friendly throughout and couldn't do enough for us. We asked for rooms with a balcony and were given one on the corner and one next door which was lovely - we like to have fresh air in the room at night - although a little noisy being on the fifth floor deadened it so it was fine.
The hotel does have the tinest lift we have ever seen but then it was fine for one person although I have to admit we are small people and reasonably fit and so we were quite happy climbing the stairs. The reception staff allowed us to store our luggage on our final day which was a great help The price was very good for a central Paris hotel and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend although if you are a larger person perhaps the lower floors and a larger room might be better We loved it

Sadly this is a case of very good marketing and select pictures that make a property appear to be something that it is not. Instead of a clean nice hotel, the property is actually dumpy, over priced, small, hot rooms paired with common areas that are not kept up. This establishment is more akin to a hostel than a hotel, set your expectations accordingly.

I stayed twice on my trip. Once during the Olympics and then on my out of Europe the day before my flight to the USA. It was a lovely place. I felt safe as a solo traveler. The lobby staff was friendly and took care to make sure things I was happy. The hotel doesn't have AC but has good, strong working fans that made it fine. Do not be put off by the small elevator! It's an older building and can't be helped. It's near a large train station which very convenient for getting around the city. There is a great Creperie near the Jacques Bonsergent station. Go!
