We stayed for seven days at Christmas, 2012. The hotel was delightful in all ways: service, staff friendliness and helpfulness, decor, room size (executive double), bathroom appointments, serenity, comfort, cleanliness, location, cost. Hightly recommended!

After staying in an apartment at the beginning of our holiday we stayed at the Luxembourg for our last few nights after returning from Provence. Friends had recommended the hotel (and were as enthusiastic about the hotel as most of the reviewers on TA) and it looked lovely on its website. We loved the hotel - the room (executive) was...

We stayed in Paris for 3 nights only over Christmas and stayed at this wonderful hotel. The staff are great. Perfect location, I think it's the Knightsbridge of Paris. So many shops, cafes, bars, restaurants. We walked around late at night and felt completely safe, We were quite worried as we've never been to Paris and staying over Christmas we...

Delightful rooms in an ideal location for a visit to Paris. Nearly everything from sightseeing to shopping to just pleasant walks is right outside your door. Of particular note is the service. We had a group staying in the hotel for a wedding and the staff was accomodating on every level. Everything from breakfast to room service to umbrellas in...

My husband and I arrived for a 9 day stay. We started in the suite which is so comfortable and well laid out. Super bathroom with great shower and double tub. Staff is wonderful. Fabien, Christian, Tanya all top notch. We took our breakfasts in the room each day. Perfectly delighted with everything. Sadly my husband came down with the...

We spent four nights here and found the hotel comfortable, quiet and quaint. Great location and service. We were shocked, however, at check out to discover that my husband and I were each charged 20 Euro each day for eggs at breakfast. I understand that there may be a supplement, but 40 Euros in total was riduculous. Especially because when...

Great service, great location, great hotel! The room and the hotel were exactly what we expected, very charming, very Parisian. We would stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a well located, reasonably priced hotel in a great Parisian suburb!

The hotel has all the expected Parisian elements. Great location by the Luxembourg Garden, small chic lobby and bar, comfortable rooms with luxe drapes, marble baths and beamed ceilings, etc. Christian, who mans the front desk most days is a gem. He could not be more helpful. Not cheap and breakfast is extra but a wonderful, comfortable, friendly home away...

This was our second stay at this hotel.. time occupying two rooms with our adult children. Love the size (small) and friendly/helpful attitude of the staff. The concierge service provided by the hotel's front desk is great - good recommendations and it's so nice to have dinner reservations and arrangements made for you. The complimentary cup of tea in the...

Friendly and helpful staff. Our room was perfect, the size one would expect in Paris but with two large windows and a spacious bathroom. Convenient location yet quiet. Staff was incredibly helpful with dinner reservations, directions and general accommodations as requested. We would certainly return!

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
