Good to stay only if you are choosing metro as your travel option in Paris. We stayed in a terrace room. Some may feel rooms are a bit smaller.Passages are congested .The hotel is one metro stop away from Montparnasse stop. Wont get much options for dinner nearby.

Basic hotel, not luxury by any means, you will get a reasonably clean room (by paris standards) and depending on room an undisturbed sleep. Breakfast is very average and the night staff although probably normal for paris come off as very rude. Please and thank you would go a long way when checking in your customers. room small, but beds comfortable. bathroom spacious , clean and plenty of hot water. Facilities not great-no safe, 1 plastic coffee cup; no coffee, just tea and 1 tiny bar of soap. tv ok. Noise from other guests not an issue for us(were we lucky?). Good location. Plenty of bars and restaurants with a range of choice and quality.Air -con... More

This was a wonderful hotel. It is small and friendly. Yes the check in is small and the lounge is not big but the welcome was excellent. English is spoken and they were happy to do everything and more. The rooms were great. They had a kettle bath/shower and were large for Paris. They had air con, which was very effective... More

Our top floor room (With lift - no worries) was lovely - small but with everything you might need, and the bathroom was perfect too, with bath/shower that worked just perfectly. The bed was great and all was quiet too. The 24 hour access was useful too (we arrived very late but had prepaid so no issues at all). Yes... More

A few friends and I stayed here for two nights while visiting the city and were very pleased. Super close to the metro and conveniently located near restaurants and cafes, it was very easy for us to get what we needed and get around. The room was clean and spacious for a European hotel and you could stand up in... More

Had a party staying here .. nice area but hotel was so basic ... rooms small .. shower was really tiny .. and I mean really tiny .. breakfast was also on the limited side .. it was perhaps standard parisian food but for the costs involved I was less than impressed given it has 3 stars ..

Good location, hotel and room ok but what a surprise to find the door close at my arrival (5th of june), the receptionist explained me that it's because he was alone and not behind the desk so it's why I had to ring the bell and wait. ok fair enough, but what was, in my opinion, unprofessional is that the... We booked this hotel because it was just a few blocks from gare montparnasse. There's a metro station right across the street so it's incredibly convenient. We ended up walking everywhere and even so it was still convenient. The room was clean, neat and comfortable albeit smallish (but it's paris, so it's expected). Staff were super friendly and helpful. We recently stayed here in the terrace room on the 4th floor for 2 nights and I am very pleased with what a great value it was! While normally I would argue against spending a little extra for a hotel amenity like a balcony that you're likely not going to use while visiting a city such as Paris, I would... More

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighbourhood Profile
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the centre of Paris this neighbourhood has something for every hour of the day.
