I agree with all of the positive things that people have noted in the past! location is great, people are very nice and helpful, great eats around the neighborhood. My husband and I were very displeased with our room assignment. I don't know if the very friendly owner was left with no choice but to give us a room that...

The Hotel Du Moulin was chosen for its location - it is within 5 minutes of a metro (and hence very easy to reach from Charles De Gaulle airport) in the pleasant Montmartre area, on a quiet street off the main roads. The hotel room was small, as was the bathroom. There was no shower curtain. The walls are reasonably...

But, and it was a big but for us, the room was so small we couldn't even open the door properly. the bathroom...

Warm welcome, very clean hotel, surprisingly quiet for the lively district of Montmartre. Easy access to two Metro stations and the useful 95 bus which goes right to the Louvre via Opera. Also it's just one Metro station from our favourite Paris restaurant (the Feuillades, just down the steps from Lamarck-Caulaincourt Metro station - open every evening but only evenings,...

My husband, myself and our 16 year old daughter stayed here for 3 nights in February to take in some sightseeing. The first room we were allocated, with 3 beds, was extremely small and noisy, due to it being next to an outside door and the reception area that had a door buzzer that seemed to be in use all...

I stayed at Hotel du Moulin for 1 week in late November 2006, together with my parents. We got 2 rooms in the garden. Overall, we had a wonderful experience there. Hotel du Moulin offers a combination of quality, location, and price which is unbeatable, in my opinion. The hotel is in a quiet side street, off the beaten path,...

Staying in Montmartre

Neighbourhood Profile
Montmartre
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colours, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
