We stayed at this hotel from 15 September through 22 September 2006. We stayed in a double room, 401 facing Rue St Jaques. Every night we had the windows open, with the curtains closed it was quiet enough for sleeping. The room has a small balcony which we could see St Severin and the Eifel Tower in the distance from....

Excellent location, nicely and recently refurbished and furnished. Rooms are quite small, but you don't go to Paris to stay in your room. The staff is excellent - very pleasant and responsive. Our a/c did not work the first night and it was extremely hot in the room. There was nothing they could do that night except loan a fan....

We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights in August and were very pleased. We chose the hotel based on all the reviews and it definitely lived up to its reputation. I can't say too much about all the rooms but we were lucky to get a room on the 4th floor looking out onto the church. The room was...

My husband & I spent 8 nights at the hotel recently. The positive reviews are all very accurate. We had a nice room on the top floor facing St. Severin & the Eiffel Tower. We walked everywhere & rarely even needed to rely on the metro (which was very close). Found lots of places to have breakfast every morning (didn't...

Spent 6 nights at this hotel in July 2006 and loved it! Location is ideal, front desk help extremely helpful, rooms immaculate, beds comfortable - a homerun all the way around. We stayed in rooms 201 and 301, with views of the church. Our rooms were VERY quiet and the air conditioning was SUPERB. Wonderful water pressure, too. We took...

Stayed here the first week of May. Great location, especially for a first time visitor. The Hotel is spotlessly clean and the common areas, though not large, are attractive. I think the Hotel is probably a converted townhouse or apartment building and, as a result, there's significant variation in the size of the rooms. Upon arrival we were shown a...

My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Henri IV Rive Gauche from June 25 thru July 2. The hotel was perfect. I cannot say enough about it. The location was fabulous, only minutes from Place Michel, Blvd. St, Michel, Saint Germain Des Pres, two metro stops, and Notre Dame. You are also just steps away from dozens and dozens...

I absolutely adore this hotel. It is charming, small and friendly. For me, when I have stayed here on numerous occassions, it is like coming home. I always bring my friends because I know they will be safe and treated exceptionally here. The people that all work here are helpful and considerate. The rooms, quaint. And the lobby and morning...

Adding much to our wonderful family week in Paris, the Henri IV will definitely get our business again. Location is perfect, but the warmth and helpfulness of the staff is beyond compare, and the air conditioning was appreciated. Best of all, we needed a triple room, and theirs are incredibly spacious. We were amazed when we opened the door and...

We spent 10 nights at the Henri IV Rive Gauche in late June. We were on the 4th flour facing St. Severin. Even though it is a fairly busy street during rush hour, it was incredibly quiet. They are not kidding about their triple pain windows! The room was lovely with every amenity. It was small, but well appointed. We...

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighbourhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighbourhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
