Truly excellent stay at the perfectly located Hotel Recamier. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect home-base from which to explore Paris. Already thinking about when we can come back. Thank you to the helpful and courteous hotel staff.

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW
Reviewed 19 March 2017

This is a small hotel tucked away in a corner of Plae Saint Sulpice. There is nothing particularly amazing about this hotel, nothing to make it truly stand out. However, it is tastefully furnished, charming, with a friendly accueil, it has a nice location, and prices are reasonable. Rooms range from very small to medium-sized, and quite a few face...

Our group stayed for two nights on 15 & 16 May 2017. We arrived near 11pm, so it was very convenient that the desk is manned 24/7. The hotel is chicly decorated - very Rive Gauche. We both had single rooms overlooking the courtyard toward the interior of the building. They were actually relatively large rooms by Parisian standards and...

We stayed in room 31 facing the square. Very quiet and is near fantastic casual restaurants. Reasonably comfortable bed and terrific down pillows. Luxurious, large, soft towels and heated towel bar. Lovely breakfast including croissants, yogurt, granola, fruit, juice, coffee, tea, salmon, bread and cheese. We would stay here again.

Clean and lovely, with a front desk staff who were always helpful and at the ready. This is the most wonderful neighborhood; quiet and posh, but convenient to everything via walking or the metro. LOVE!

This small boutique hotel was both elegant and nicely appointed. The location is superb and at the corner of the square so it was quiet. Stayed for 3 nights with my husband last year (forgot to write the review at the time and am back in Paris so am reminded). Attentive staff and perfect breakfast rounded out our stay.

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Discreetly nestled behind the trees on Place Saint Sulpice in the heart of Saint Germain des Prés area, Hotel Récamier is about to become a new exclusive address in Paris. The hotel should meet the expectations of travellers in search of confidential addresses such as those exchanged between well travelled and demanding friends.Half of the 24 rooms have a direct view on the place. The rooms have been superbly revamped by the renowned interior designer Jean Louis Deniot who was inspired to create 24 entirely different rooms with one theme per floor. On a classical basis he has added some eclecticism inspired by the various 20th century decorative styles. You will find neither hyper exuberance nor minimalism: here we are talking real Parisian elegance. ... more   less
