A great hotel for a short city break. The location is placed along a quiet road in the backstreets of Montmartre, where there's lots of places to eat and walk around. Staff are very friendly and the hotel is clean and tidy. I was impressed with the power of the shower and how easy it was to sleep in, which...

The hotel is in a great location, room clean and reasonable size. No hot water. Even though our visit was off season it was impossible to get breakfast as there was always a long queue for the small dining room, which meant we had to visit a local cafe for breakfast costing around 30euros . Would not use this Hotel...

1) “The hotel is in a great location, room clean and reasonable size.” We agree with those positive comments about our hotel. 2) “No hot water” Untrue. We have a perfectly functional hot water system. For your information, The hotel was renovated in September 2003 and was awarded the 3* status by the City of Paris after an extensive review...

This perfect little hotel exceeded my expectations. The staff, particularly the women serving our breakfast and cleaning afterwards, were very pleasant, efficient and courteous. Our room and bathroom were comfortable, modest and tidy. The location of this hotel made it a perfect starting point for our daily excursions into the city and beyond. If your visit to Paris is limited...

This small hotel in the heart of Paris is good value for money. Situated in the heart of Montmartre, the location is perfect for the local sights/amenities: Sacre Coeur, metro stations, and really good restaurants only a couple of minutes walk. The accommodation is basic but rooms are a good size and kept clean. The beds are very comfortable and...

After being delayed for 13 hours at a distant airport because the Paris airports were snowed in, we arrived at the Bellevue after midnight, needles to say exhausted! The staff was most accomodating and welcoming and expedited our check-in so that we could get our sorely needed rest. The next morning, the breakfast service was excellent and quite generous. The...

All round good value place to stay - we enjoyed our stay. Only slight downsides were that we could not check in until 4pm - the website we booked from said that the room would be available at 12pm -also the double bed was two single beds put together which was a bit uncomfortable. All things considered, we enjoyed our...

When choosing the hotel, we wanted badly to stay in the Montmartre area and the hotel is really in a perfect position. Close to the metro station, but not in the main street, so far from all the noise, very quiet. It is also close to the bar/restaurant area which is quite important in the evening, when you are tired...

I have to say that I enjoyed my experience at the hotel. The location was not difficult to find and being near a metro station, a number of reasonably priced restaurants with great food and dozens of souvenir shops didn't hurt at all. The hotel was small but comfortable. I haven't stayed at any other French hotels so I cannot...

My wife and I spent last Saturday night at the Hotel Bellevue and would have no hesitation in recommending it as a great base for exploring the city. Location is excellent - Anvers metro station is two minutes walk away, Abesses no more than five minutes. The foot of the steps up to the Sacre Coeur is literally just round...

Bellevue Montmartre - We have just returned from our trip having left Paris only 5 days ago. A great hotel - small & central - easily accessible from rail & metro stations. Staff were very friendly & helpful. We would return again as it is exactly what we wanted in a small Parisian Hotel. (It is not the Hyatt &...

Staying in Montmartre

Neighbourhood Profile
Montmartre
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colours, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
