Great location. A walk to the Seine and easy access to all of Paris via two adjacent metro stations. Very reasonable price given the quality of provision and the neighborhood. Would definitely book again on next visit.

I booked this hotel in a last minute decision to take my 13th year son to visit Paris. I booked it on the basis of trip advisor reviews. There's a good smell when you come inside. The room was tiny but cosy, decorated in lovely romantic way. The bathroom was clean and modern, equipped with nice toiletries. The staff was...

Love the stay. I stayed at this well located, cozy hotel in St Germain for a month between July and August to take some French lessons in Paris. Hotel is extremely well located, clean, service is extraordinary with everyone been kind and useful yet affordable for being in one of the most expensive and popular neighborhoods in Paris. Cannot say...

Beautiful hotel, very clean and In a great location. We walked to the Louvre and Notre Dame both only ten minutes away. The Staff were all very helpful and their English excellent compared to our weak French. We were in corner rooms with interconnecting rooms which made it easier for our teenage daughter who was on her own. Will stay...

This was a wonderful place to stay during our honeymoon to Paris. The hotel was just what we were looking for and being centrally located in Paris, was close to so many places we visited. We spend a week in Paris every couple of years and usually stay in Saint-Germain mainly because of the ambience and convenience. We thought we would give Hotel de l'Academie a try rather than the other two hotels where we stay, mainly because the price for a similar size room was more reasonable. We were not disappointed and the free...

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
