I write this review from from Hotel Monterosa on our last night of our one week stay. The hotel is clean, well situated ( a 5 minute lovely downhill walk to St Geirges Metro Station) and the staff is excellent- always at your service! It was my birthday so we were upgraded to a room with a size bed and... More

Took the lady to Paris for her 30th and we stayed at this hotel. Very easy walk from Gare du Nord, Clean, very friendly and helpful staff, free soft drinks and snacks in the lobby. Breakfast was nice. Rooms are small but not excessively, although the showers are a little cosy. Overall, highly recommend this hotel, Rosi on the front... More

Stayed at this hotel just for 1 night in May and my overall opinion of it is that it was good. Although the room was rather small, it was clean and the bed comfortable. Breakfast was rather poor but acceptable. Would recommend it to other people but just for short stays.

Cute hotel, close to Metro, great breakfast and love the coffee/snack Bar from 2-10pm. Very helpful staff....we especially appreciated the email response from Alice with easy to follow directions from Gare Lyon train station to the hotel via metro. One less thing we had to figure out :)

My friend and I stayed here for three nights. Upon arrival we were advised that due to a 'water issue' the twin room we had booked was not available to us and that we would have to have two single rooms. We felt that the real reason was due to overbooking. We were told we would have the best room... More

Everyone we encountered on the staff (reception/concierge, day and night, dining) were extremely helpful and courteous. Service was excellent. Property was very clean, decor and amenities were modern and updated. Provided breakfast was very good with wide range of choice. Afternoon/evening snacks and refrshments also provided. Great value! Room maybe a bit small but okay for Paris. Place is tucked... More

Perfect 3-star hotel! Room was spacious and with nice balcony with typical Parisian street/rooftop view. Hotel was clean and modernly furnished, service superb and breakfast was more than we expected. Location was nice, since there are two metro stations nearby. Also both Opera and Mont Martre districts are within walking distance. We definately enjoyed our stay and would stay in... More

The service at the desk from all the staff was exceptional, from finding directions to an ATM with reasonable exchange rates, to getting ice for our champaigne, getting us breakfast when we got back from Normandy late, I can not say enough about the staff. I liked the location, just below Moulin Rouge, a short walk to Sacre Cour, The... More

Stayed at hotel Monterosa in April. We had a nice stay and the service was really good. Nice breakfast and a cool feature with the open bar, where you can enjoy free refreshments from 12 - 10 pm. The rooms aren't big, but who sits in their room when in Paris😉 The hotel is perfect for a weekend getaway

We stayed at the hotel Monterosa over Easter weekend. Being so close to Montmatre and Sacre Coeur, the location of the hotel is just perfect for exploring the city, as well as being close to some really great restaurants (try rue de la trois freres for some amazing small restaurants such as le jardin d'en Face). The hotel itself is... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
