This was the second time we stayed at L'Hotel and we still love it! The service is friendly, the check-in was easy. The hotel is on a quiet street in the amazing neighborhood of Saint Germain des Pres. You are within walking distance of the Seine, the Louvre and Notre Dame. The decor is very cozy, warm, yet glamorous and...

We stayed at L'hotel for a special wedding anniversary. The hotel itself is fascinating, as Oscar Wilde lived and indeed died there after leaving prison. The sumptuous rooms are arranged around a circular atrium which, through careful use of mirrors, is quite spectacular. The bar and restaurant are decked out in opulent velvet and the bar serves fabulous cocktails. The...

This is where Oscar Wilde lived and died. It is a quaint and lovely hotel. We had the Chic suite and it was like an apartment in size. The room took us back in time. The staff was most accommodating. This was the second time I have stayed at L'Hotel. It only gets better. Completely charming boutique hotel in an amazing location for exploring Paris. The rooms are small but beautiful, the restaurant superb, the bar well stocked and barman knowledgeable, plus the pool in the basement is an added gem. Definitely a hotel for couples and one of the most memorable I have visited.

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
