No frills, basic hotel short walk from Gard du Nord. Considering it was on a main road, noise was not a problem. Rooms very small but imaculately clean. Breakfast was basic. Staff here were wonderful, friendly and very helpful.

The Parisians can be a but aloof and will want you to speak French. But I'm a white British male and encountered no real problems. Paris us big and cosmopolitan. Go. Enjoy. The Alane was great.
