We organised little city break for my mum's boyfriend and we have stayed in the Ideal Hotel for two nights. Checking in process was very smooth we didn't wait at all, it took around 5 minutes to get the keys. This hotel has great location! Very convenient. You will find wide selection of restaurant, shops, pâtisserie and coffee places near...

Porte d'orleans MRT is literally outside the main door of the hotel. Location is great. Once you've figured out the MRT and tram system, its very easy to reach the main tourist attractions such as Eiffel Tower, Arc De Tromph etc. and even the airport. The hotel is surrounded by cafes, bakeries, Subway, restaurants, Carrefour Express etc. The hotel is...

Cheap in price and fabulous in location, me and my partner have been pleasantly suprised. After paying £154 for 3 nights we expected a basic room with no luxury. Upon arrival we were placed in room 604, which had lovely view out front (picture below). The only down fall was our double bed was in fact 2 singles pushed together...

Decor is very tacky and in your face, but for a very cheap stay you can't expect too much, bed comfortable, shower good. The lift is tiny so only room for 1 person with luggage. The best thing about this hotel is the fact that metro station entrance is right outside. The walls are very thin and you can hear...

We first went the counter to check in and had the front desk lady roll her eyes constantly at every question we had... then we we asked for an adapter that was on the screen behind her advertised to borrow, she just said no and didn't explain anything.... we went up in a box of an elevator to our room...

This hotel is a great place if you are looking for a clean, safe base. It is reasonably priced - I used Expedia - and if you book transportation via Expedia it will be way cheaper than trying to do it in town. The staff at the hotel are mostly accommodating, it is a safe area. Go to the grocery...

The hotel has a good central location, with transport stops, restaurants, cafes, and small shops right outside. From the hotel the main attractions are not too far, around 5km, to the Eiffel tower, and Arc de Triumph. Parking outside or around the hotel is very difficult to find as its so busy, also the parking house costs 25€ per night....

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. As other reviewers have mentioned, the metro line 4 (Porte d'orleans) is literally at the front door. Next door is a great bakery and within a couple of minutes' walk you have a choice of 3 supermarkets, a post office, self-serve laundry, Parc Montsouris etc etc. I was upgraded to the triple...

Small but nice hotel, quite far from all the famous sights but the metro was just outside the door. Nice staff and the breakfast was good. The room was small and it was an extra cost for the breakfast. We enjoyed our stay there.

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighbourhood Profile
Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the centre of Paris this neighbourhood has something for every hour of the day.
