Took a wrong turn and ended up at the hotel in a little less than good shape; however staff at the concierge (I think his name was Laurent) was pretty great into letting us checking in early to freshen up (what a dear!) :) Overall, a great hotel stay (decent size room; separated bathroom and toilet - both may be...

This hotel offers clean and comfortable rooms. But the real value for me here is the location and cost. In the 1st and great location for Louvre, Notre Dame, and St Germain. Great cafes and shopping in the neighborhood. I usually stay there when in Paris and am never disappointed, or broke!

so, it is hectic as -you know what- to get to. you would think it would be a loud area with its great location, the street it was on was surprisingly quiet. check in was fine, check out was fine. the lobby is neat, the bar was never "open" however. the room was adequate. carpet a little dirty, and the...

My 3rd trip to Paris and found this hotel after researching trip advisor. Nestled behind the streets close to shopping and easy walk to Notre Dame , Pompidou centre , Germain quarter and the river seine, this recently renovated hotel was exceptional. Tastefully decorated with quality fittings, this was much better than expected. The staff were so helpful with any...

The room was very confortable and clean, but the location is the top, right on the heart of the city and a few steps to Chatelet metro station, that connects with a several lines around Paris. The staff also was very helpfull. In my opinion, this hotel is highly recommended for families with children and for those that looking for...

We stayed at the Hotel Louvre Rivoli for two nights and it was our first of three hotels we will stay while visiting France (it was our first time). We stayed at two 3 star hotels (this being one of them) and one 5 star hotel. This is the hotel we will be returning to on our next visit. Rationale:...

I've been staying at the hotel Louvre Rivoli in Paris for about ten years now and on each occasion their have been improvements to either the rooms or the facilities. This year a new breakfast bar downstairs has greatly improved the early morning experience with a small child in tow. The reception area was also being re carpeted while we...

This hotel may not be 5 star given the price we paid for two nights... It was clean....rooms reasonable size (we had the triple room which was ideal ) with the facilities you need and was a great base....we view a room for sleeping, washing and changing .... Our aim was to explore paris ...not to spend protracted times in...

Hotel was in an excellent location. A block to the Seine River. Tons of shopping a couple blocks away. Great cafes with excellent food just steps away from the hotel. Close to many major Paris attractions. Cross the bridge over the Seine a couple of blocks away to get to the Latin Quarter of Paris. Room was clean but small...

The cellar was being renovated, so the breakfast was in a nook in the lobby. It was a good effort, and I am sure that normally it is better, but the breakfast was mainly pastry, jam, and some meats and cheeses (that you had to fight over with other guests). I always felt like we were being 'watched' and like...

Staying in Les Halles

Neighbourhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
