Good value for the money. Perfect location, friendly staff and satisfactory for just having somewhere to sleep. Rooms were small, too warm, too small sink, CRAPPY view, instabile bed, slow wi-fi, confused interior with different mixes of styles that clashes pretty badly, towels had a weird chemical smell, broken toilett paper holder. Breakfast were bleak, cold grey eggs, coffee machine...

Dear Patrick, We would like to thank you for your stay, our team is happy to know you liked her service even if the "crappy room" seems pretty unfair to our team and direction. During your stay we received no complains regarding your room (broken things where not that broken and has been fixed on the day of your check...

Our second visit here and we booked a superior room this time which turned out to be a little larger than a standard room and with more of a view. The room was spotless. We would have liked a bit more storage e.g. bedside 'cupboards' instead of just a tiny shelf on each side, but otherwise it had everything we...

Our room at Hotel Des Arts was the perfect respite after an incredibly stressful hour of navigating Paris by car. (Note: we were returning a rental, not sure if the hotel has parking). We had ordered the romantic package, and upon entering our room were greeted with fresh-cut roses, a bottle of champagne, chocolates and comfy terry-cloth robes. The stress...

Nice clean room, a little small for 2 with luggage. The bathroom was updated and reminded me of a cruise ship room. This hotel should update the locking mechanism in the room, a key is required to exit. We encountered great staff, we would visit again because of the people who work there.

I booked this room as I was travelling alone. The hotel feels instantly warm and welcoming as you walk through the door. It has character and is beautifully decorated. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. I've read other reviews about the shower being small and whilst it was snug, I can't say it affected my stay. The room was...

This place was good for 3 nights stay in October. I had a single bed in a small room, with TV and small bathroom. The room was a bit chilly with the radiators only on a fraction and didn't seem to be adjustable. Rooms are all very close together so you hear most movements! Shower was good. All the receptionists...

This was our 3rd stay in this charming hotel. This time we chose a romantic room as we were there for 6 nights, during which we celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary, so we decided to make it special. The room was very spacious and, on arrival, there was champagne on ice, fresh flowers, chocolates & a tin of treats from...

We visited the hotel as a family and enjoyed very much! The staff is very friendly and helpful, giving us good tips for some restaurants (we specially liked 'Il Caratello'). I can't express better, than they do on their website: It's really a 'charming, cosy hotel, in the Montmartre district' (read the rest of the description on the site, it's...

Having read some great reviews about this hotel, I decided to book. My boyfriends first time in Paris and Birthday Celebration. I notified the hotel of this as I could see the attention to detail that they pay to their guests, so I knew we would be looked after - and certainly just happy with a room with a view!...

We spent in this small hotel two nights. Rooms are very small, but I think on Montmartre it's perfectly adequate. You just don't have a time sit into your room, because there is so many interesting places around. Staff was smilling and helpfull all the time. I recommend to annyone who is looking very nice place and in budget.

Staying in Montmartre

Neighbourhood Profile
Montmartre
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colours, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.

“Every room is different, based on a different artist. Our room on the top storey (6) had a view of the dome of the Sacre Coeur, but the elevator only goes to the fifth floor, so I would recommend that room for those who can navigate a flight of stairs with luggage. We loved it!!”
