This was our third trip to Paris, and as we already knew where the Hotel du Lion was we chose to stay here for one night. It's easy to get to - just take the RER B from Charles de Gaulles airport or Gare du...More
We just landed by chance in this hotel and then stayed for one week.It has good breakfast spread compared to other hotels in 3* category in Paris.Room was good and one can see higher part of eiffel tower from the room balcony.Best part was connectivity...More
Had a lovely stay in Paris at Hotel Du Lion. Room was a nice size, with three large windows, which was good, we even had a slight view of the Eiffel Tower! In a good location, just a short stroll to Montparnasse, and a metro...More
We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights because it was convenient to the bus to Orly Airport (the depot was just across the road). The hotel is above a very busy restaurant, which is a popular spot after work for people to gather at...More
I stayed at this hotel in September 2012 and was very pleased by the experience. The neighborhood is beyond lovely, really Parisian and almost surreal. There are parks, lovely buildings with Victorian architecture, two bakeries, a supermarket, a pharmacy, restaurants, McDonald's, a Zara and many...More
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small
gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the centre of Paris this neighbourhood has something for every hour of the day.

Yes, there are a two rooms with an Eiffel Tower view on the top floor. One in the corner and the other on the north-northeast side of the building. Although not a direct view, you can simple look to the left and see the Eiffel tower in the distance. It is actually a very nice view.

Hi, the other two reviewers were right. You first have to climb stairs before getting to the reception. The elevator is facing the reception and I never had problems with it. I was there last year and I will be 61 years now and had no problems with the stairs, but it depends on the physical aptitute of your parents. Shouldn't be such a problem if they are ok. Hope this helps. Room was good for the price and the location very good.
