We stayed at the hotel in July 2016 for a week. The room are clean and good for a family of 4. There is an area with a electric gas, Micro wave and cutlery is available. A couple of super markets near the hotel and a few restaurants. The hotel is just two mins walk from the metro. (Phillippe Auguste)... More

Booking cancelled, but the amount wasn't refund for 3 weeks!!!! although no down-payment was needed. I cancelled through booking, but the hotel denied that he received the cancellation. Finally today they refunded me.

We stayed 9 days in this very pleasant place. It is situated in a quiet area and served by excellent public transport : 3 tubes stations within easy walking distances. The accommodation is spacious enough and has a small kitchen area. You get free wifi and a desk as many guests are on business. The staff was friendly and efficient.

Older rooms, less comfortable than another one of the Adagio hotels that we stayed at. Very basic hotel with nothing notable about it. Bathrooms are small and the bedroom is also a tight fit. You need the living room area to put your luggage if you have two people. I will not be back to this location and cannot recommend... More

Extremely inconsiderate staff. The code given to us didn't work and the personnel at the reception (April 30, late evening) refused to open the door and kept us waiting in the nail-biting cold. When we said it wouldn't open, he yelled back saying "it isn't my job to open the door". Appalled to see such low standards in hospitality! And... More

Spacious (apart from the bathroom), clean and good value accommodation in a bustling part of the city. A little tatty in the room in places but nothing that bothered me given the price for 3 people (one double bed and a double sofa bed). There's a small kitchen area with pans, a (slow) electric hob, fridge and a microwave, though... More

The hotel does not have air-conditioning or fan. In the summer month of June, this is not understandable. You pay to be comfortable in the hotel and not to experience discomfort. Staying in Belleville / Pere Lachaise

Neighbourhood Profile
Belleville / Pere Lachaise
At the eastern edge of Paris lies Belleville / Père Lachaise, an understated wonderland of local treasures. Alongside the world-famous cemetery, family-owned delicatessens and cafés nestle between local stores and establishments. The richness of the population here has created a little Chinatown of Asian restaurants, and the area comes to life at night by a funky underground scene. Façades change from one street to another as one passes from white walled provincial homes to tall blocks and reconverted homes. The whole area is an inspirational mix of people from all corners of the world frequented by artists, students, immigrants, and Parisian families. Once home to supporters of the Paris commune, its rebellious nature is now offset by its rural charms.

“Seek a room overlooking the street and/or Pere Lachaise rather than the courtyard. However, someone in an apartment across the street likes to party late on Friday night so can't sleep with windows open that evening! Bring a roll of paper towels and buy or bring your coffee, filters and sweetener. Also, no cups are provided. Their at-home method is to drink coffee from a bowl, which we too did. Bring a washcloth if you want one.”
