I was skeptical when I booked this apartment hotel for our Europe trip last summer because of the reviews. We were quite surprised! Unless you're paying a premium, expect Paris hotels/apartments to be basic. Our room was more than what we expected and needed. It has a living area with pull-out sofa, kitchenette with microwave and refrigerator (which we used...

The front desk gentleman was incredible. So kind and helpful with everything. Very clean and the water pressure is marvelous and it gets is VERY hot. I mean really, be careful because it could genuinely burn you. Beautiful fully equipped kitchenettes and an excellent cafe for your morning coffee right downstairs. It is an old building so I would not...

The bad stuff: The family room with two bedrooms is dark, feels like a basement (half of it actually is), something viscious is growing on the bathroom wall and it smells too, the carpet made our feet itch - maybe some chemicals..?. The plastic roof in above the sofa was leaking when it was raining and the thin roof made...

If you're an adult who likes your independence, this is the place for you. Zac is incredibly lovely and is there if you need help, but is also not intrusive unlike many hotel staff. Our room was perfectly located (we walked to most places, including the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame, but then we walked a fair bit). Great service....

A stay at this hotel is more like living in a small studio rather than having normal hotel services. The room is small but includes a refrigerator, microwave, dishware, silverware, a kitchen sink and a dinette set. The bed was a hide-a-bed. The bathroom was tiny. The room is not cleaned every day and the linen is not changed. But...

Stayed here way back in October (forgot to post) but I greatly enjoyed pretending to be a Parisienne with this studio. It is not a hotel in the sense that it is not manned 24/7. They give you the password/key to the door because the person who watches the door is gone by a certain time--a detail which they write...

Booked this for a trip with my family. A big mistake. Let's sum up some flaws: there are rooms at the street side, I am willing to believe these are ok. However, we had a room at the back looking at some very small inner courtyard/shaft (no fire escape possibility there by the way), which allows other rooms to look...

My daughter (16) and I stayed here for a week in October. Room was small but perfect for what we wanted, after all if you go to Paris you don't stay in your room. 5 mins walk to Notre Dame, supermarket round corner, metro station( Cluny La Sorbonne) within 2 mins plus Notre Dame St Michel metro just down the road,...

Recently stayed at this place in Sept 2014. Extremely poor customer service. **** The front desk is not staffed 24 hours. So if you arrive after 7pm, you must use codes to get in the building and to get keys for your room from a safe. The owner conveniently changed the codes and our room assignment the day before our...

I can't say enough how great this place is. Location is central to all the great parts of old Paris. Just blocks from Notre Dame, in the bohemian St Germain/latin district (great food and art district!). The owner/manager was incredibly helpful. We ended up being somewhat high maintenance guests, with a late arrival, transportation needs, etc. Zakyr was so wonderful....

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighbourhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighbourhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.

“If you want wifi in your room, request a lower floor room, otherwise you will need to sit in the lobby (which is pleasant). This is a small hotel, so don't expect large opulent rooms. We had a small studio with a kitchenette and it was more than adequate.”
