I do not write negative reviews easily and did not have high expectations as the was a "Lastminute.com" package but to say we got the poor end of the deal would not be a lie! Reception staff were sullen. Nice lobby, dead bar, 4th floor landing has the ceiling falling in to our adequate room 407. New wallpaper and bedding... More

Stayed here for two nights. The best thing about this hotel is its central location and friendly reception staff. Metro stop is about a 2 minute walk. The reception area and lobby's are quite nice however the room was pretty dull and lifeless. Our radiator was stuck on so was always too hot. No view out of the room we... More

We are talking about a 3 stars approching 200£ a night, still, - Had to wait 20 min to check-in because the employee was having her dinner - The AC wasn't working on arrival, when asked about it i was told that it wasn't that warm... - I was promised that it would be fixed when I'll get back from... On arrival the reception staff were friendly and efficient and we were upgraded to a larger room on the fourth floor. The room was spacious for older parts of Paris and comfortable enough. Bathroom decor a little old fashioned but perfectly usable. The Windows are the original with no double glazing so may be a bit cold in winter. Breakfast... More

Booked this hotel via booking.com and for Paris got a very good price including breakfast. Was in a good location approx 10 minutes walk from Gard du Nord, which had some nice bakers shops, bars etc down it. When we arrived we was told one room was ready but would have to wait for another one as they seemed to... More

We were concerned after reading the reviews on this hotel and weren't sure what to expect but what a pleasant surprise! From the initial check in, to the rooms to the location to the breakfast - we honestly could not complain. The rooms are more than adequate - we were 4 mature couples travelling together and no-one had a complaint... More

I have visited Paris many times over the years, usually on a budget, and usually ending up in average-at-best hotels with tiny bedrooms and inedible breakfasts. Either things have changed or I've been lucky the last 2 times. This most recent visit (3-4 September 2016) brought me to the Hôtel Provinces Opera, just a short walk from Gare du Nord... More

Good bargain for paris city centre and a last minute booking. Friendly staff. Renovated place, with maybe just a few finishing touches not meeting four star standard. But still a good deal. Great breakfast food.
