The front desk had rather chubby middle-aged man (with a bald patch) who is rude not just to me but also another asian family man who has his wife and baby child in tow. The staff was speaking in a rather condescending tone making the...More
My girlfriend and I stayed 22 days in Europe and our last stop was in Paris. We were running low on money and opted for a budget hotel and picked hotel Picard based solely off of its super low price. We arrived too early for...More
Stayed here for a few nights at the start of January 2018. It wasn't a bad price and there were more good reviews than bad online. Checked in very late the first day so just went straight to bed. Woke up early and left the...More
We had an excelent stay in this hotel, Mr. Fábio gave us a warm reception! Thank you very much! He gave us directions to important things to see in Paris. The room is good and clean. The food of the hotel is good too.
We have stayed here before and this time so disappointing. Had a terrible room facing the inner void and no sunshine or skyline in view We were able to hear the water pipes all night long . We booked a double bed and got twin...More
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendour. This neighbourhood unites a rich mix of
people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.

Our room had its own attached large bathroom, and we paid a very reasonable price (in August 2016) for 4 nights. When I read other reviews for the Hotel Picard I was surprised that some said their rooms shared a bathroom. I think in this hotel it must be a mixed bag. So, if you want to book one with attached bath, make sure you ask. Our room was clean, quiet and comfortable (3 persons) but a bit dated - however, when we were there they were doing renovations on the ground floor. This hotel is in a great location.
