Hotel was small but clean and breakfast was plentiful. Staff beautifully efficient. Directions from the railway station could have been more clear, even though it was quite close however with the help of our GPS we found it OK.

The hotel was great, ,however the person at the desk tried to con me into buying cabaret tickets for 73 euros (claimed that the leaflet that I had was old and out of date). When I went to the venue directly, I paid 60 euros as per the leaflet.

Spent a weekend here at the end of October. We got a taxi from Paris Nord which was 12 euros, otherwise very easy to reach by the Metro. Room was very clean, and had good facilities e.g. tea and coffee making and free wifi. Quite a number of restaurants and bars close to tthe hotel so you don't have to...

We arrived at the hotel on October 1st at 11.30 in the morning. We were friendly welcomed and told that our room would be ready at 02.00 pm. As we wanted to start exploring Paris we left our luggage behind and infomred the receptionist that we woul be back after dinner and this was no problem at all. When we...

Rooms are clean, well presented and functional. On the small side but how much time do you want to spend in a hotel room when you're in Paris!? Perfect location, Metro is right next door, 10 minutes ride into tourist attractions and the area immediately around the hotel is brilliant for restaurants, bistros, cafes, shops etc. Busy and vibrant area...

I've given this hotel 4 stars because it was clean, comfortable, reasonably priced and in a great location. Just a short walk from the Gare Montparnasse (where the TGV goes from) and with the metro almost on the doorstep, on a quiet and seemingly safe side street. If you go with no greater expectations than a simple room with a...

Excellent location. Good area with lots of cafes and bars. NOT a "dodgy" area as suggested by one reviewer. Very safe. Just 50yds from Montparnasse Bienvenue metro and a quarter of a mile from Edgar Quinet metro. Small supermarket opposite, Galeries Lafayette at the end of the street. A very friendly welcome at the hotel. Our room was ready at...

Room was small, it smells very badly at night (chemical smell coming from the bathroom), I could'nt sleep because of the noise from the elevator and the road + the "charming" view over a big road (looks like a ring, lots of trafic nearly all night!) Ask for a room the opposite side and far from the elevator. Anyway you...

I thought it was going be very difficult to find a good hotel for a low price, so I was pleasently surprised when I got to the hotel. The rooms were small, but cute and very clean. I only stayed for three nights, so I didn´t care about having a large room. We had a window to the inner courtyard,...

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighbourhood Profile
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the centre of Paris this neighbourhood has something for every hour of the day.
