I have several times at this hotel and have come to consider it my prefered place to stay in Paris - up to this last stay! Upgraded my reservation as the standard rooms are on the small size and as ususal requested a quiet room. To my surprise was check-in to a room in the -1 floor right in the...

This hotel was okay - clean and well-situated - but given the many, many choices in Paris I think there are many superior options. On the plus side, our room (upgrade reserved) was quite spacious and the location is excellent - close to the Louvre and a pleasant walk to many of the main points of interest in the center...

This hotel trys to be a stylish, trendy retreat and on most levels it succeeds! The room was spacious and well equipped and the staff friendly and happy to speak English if required. Breakfast was good if not amazing but its the location that makes this hotel a real winner ... bang in the centre and within walking distance of...

Good hotel with hot breakfast. Centrally situated. Unfortunately they was a huge crane next door reconstructing the building which was very noisy in the day. You might want to check when the building work will be finished before your stay.

Just come back from a lovely weekend break in Paris. We managed to find this hotel looking at its location and how close it was to amenities and the sights that Paris has to offer. As soon as we arrived the service was excellent, they spoke English which helped as we had arrived early due to an early flight but...

We recently stayed here for four nights and while the location is perfect for access to all the sites and in a great neighborhood, the service was poor. We arrived in the morning after a red-eye and knew that our room would not be ready. We dropped off our luggage and were told that our room would be ready by...

My teen daughter and I took an amazing trip to Paris this summer (my review is six months overdue) What we loved: - boutique style hotel - our room even had a patio and we enjoyed lounging outdoors - large bathroom, (I imagine each room might be different, however) - great staff! Multi-lingual, even helped us 'tune up' our French...

L'Empire Paris was a stylish, clean yet appropriately priced hotel in central Paris. The location is great, near the Louvre therefore within walking distance to many parts of central Paris. Close to the Chatalet-LesHalles metro which has several train options including the RER. The rooms were spacious and impeccably clean. Decorated in modern style with an eye to the classical....

Just visited with my daughter and although originally hard to find the hotel couldn't have been more perfect. Right across the street from the louvre. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The hotel is very new and chic and our room was surprisingly big, we even had a balcony. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was nice and...

We stayed here 3 nights directly after New Years. I would highly recommend it and would definitely consider staying again! Excellent location right by the Louvre - easily walkable to all of the main sites in Paris. Staff were always helpful, nothing was a problem for them and their english impeccable. Good size room for a 3 day stay -...

Staying in Les Halles

Neighbourhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
