I find this place very convenient. Right above the Raspail subway station, it's 10min walk to Montparnasse. Rooms are small but cosy.l, decorated in a old school french style that screams welcome to Paris. As any old building in Paris, you can hear your neighbours through the walls and the wooden floors cracks under your feet. But I find it...

I was looking for an affordable, clean and decent hotel - after reading many reviews I decided to give it a try to this hotel. I was a little hesitant due to the distance and transportation to the main areas however having a metro station in the corner and others at 1 or 2 blocks was a plus and it...

Quiet and very friendly. Whilst the room was small it was comfortable. The location is good for the Metro and the theatres/restaurants around Montparnasse. Possibly not suitable for those with difficulty with stairs (the lift stops on every half-landing so you need to go up or down some stairs to access the rooms).

I can happily recommend this hotel for city visits or short business trips. It's in a great location and the rooms are a decent size - I could actually do a bit of yoga next to the bed which is not always possible in small Paris hotels. The facilities are good and the whole place is clean. The reception staff...

Small, clean, simple. Everything you need in order to enjoy one of the most strategical and amazing Paris area. Cheap and people so kindly. Fully suggested and never forget you'll be closed to several good restaurants..

We only stayed for one night but the style of the hotel and rooms is quite cool a lot different to most others with a retro style, the size of the room is small but it is an old building, the lift stops between levels meaning some lugging of suitcases is required so don't pack too heavy or go to...

I normally would not stay this far out of the tourist center but i wanted to do something different on my 6th trip. The hotel is intimate and so are the rooms. I was solo and had a double bed in a quiet interior room with a minuscule shower, which are quite ordinary in Paris. I could not imagine putting...

We had a pleasant stay at this hotel. I found it on Alastair Sawday's recommendation so I think I was expecting a bit more to be honest. I'd booked the luxury room with patio view on Expedia. The room was really quite small, with no patio to be seen. We were on the sixth floor and had a view over...

My family traveled to Paris over the Thanksgiving week and absolutely loved this little hotel. Not many hotels in Paris can sleep a family of 4 (I have 2 teen girls), but we were able to do it with the junior suite. It had 2 bathrooms with a sink and shower, but only one had a toilet. That was not...

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighbourhood Profile
Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the centre of Paris this neighbourhood has something for every hour of the day.
