Clean, quaint and quintessentially small and Parisian. This hotel is value for money in a great location near a ton of great restaurant and easy access to public transport and waking the whole city. Staff are friendly and helpful and we would definitely stay here again. We did. It take the breakfast as there are so many great places to... More

We rented two rooms for 3 nights when we arrived in Paris and two nights before leaving for home. The hotel is near several lovely restaurants, a Metro stop, Luxembourg Gardens, Montparnasse cemetery, and a hop-on, hop-off bus stop. The staff members are wonderful--so helpful. The morning breakfast (for an extra fee) was all we needed to fuel us for... More

Checking in to the Hotel de la Paix was smooth and friendly. We used the small elevator to go up to our room on the top floor. The front desk brought up our luggage. My mom and stayed here from Sept 28-Oct 1. Room 53 was a street side room with 2 twin beds. Large room for Paris standards, bathroom... More

This is my favourite area to stay in as you can walk to the RER or metro for work, you can walk to the lovely gardens, see the market being set up on a Saturday, walk even to Notre Dame on the back streets for a long walk. Also lots of good eating places. The hotel is typically small as... More

Convenient location, very friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable room, breakfast was good. Many wonderful places to eat in the general vicinity. Metro station is literally a few steps away from the hotel. I felt very secure and safe in this neighborhood. I truly enjoyed my stay during my visit to Paris... at Hotel De La Paix Montparnasse.

I love everything about this hotel :) The interior design is very cute. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room is pretty small but it is fine and manageable. The shower room is clean. The lift is very small, but I love and enjoyed this. The location is also near to MRT and some of shopping and tourist... More

Our fourth time staying here and it is as good as we remembered. Clean, friendly, quiet. It's a great base from which to explore Paris. Good breakfast to start the day. Nice little lounge to sit and enjoy a beverage. This is a small, chic boutique hotel in Montparnasse, it's low key, welcoming and not snobby at all. Love the... More

In July 2016 we stayed for 4 nights at the Hotel De La Paix. What I didn't realize was my relationship with the hotel would continue beyond our stay. Due to a very unusual series of events, 14 of us travelers found ourselves on a chartered bus to nowhere. As the situation deteriorated, I found my French inadequate to figure... More

Normally I stay around the left bank St Germain area when I come to Paris. I decided to try something different this time. So, you may already know that hotels like this one are very small and quaint. Elevators are more for getting luggage up and down easily and rarely big enough for more than that. Stairs are creaky and... More

We were over the moon with staying here. It was in a perfect location to the metro and buses. They had two nice cafe's close by that were reasonable and friendly. They offered a great breakfast for 10 euros which had all of our favorite things. The beds were very comfortable and it felt more like a home then a... More

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighbourhood Profile
Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the centre of Paris this neighbourhood has something for every hour of the day.
