My wife and I stayed at this Holiday Inn last July 2017 and what a great place to stay. Not far from a couple Metro stops, local bars and cafe's. A great local brewery across the canal. Staff was very friendly and helpful for us...More
This futuristic landscape has come to define the northeast of Paris. The Saint-Denis canal is framed with luscious lawns and metallic buildings over a wide-open space. Home to Europe's largest science museum, this area rewards daytime and nighttime explorations; there are three concert spaces, plus cinemas and bars, and even open-air cinema in the summer. The surrounding homes are a sharp contrast to

the futuristic space. Though on the outskirts of Paris, La Villette is worth the short Metro ride from the centre.

It's only a few kilometers to the Gare du Nord. You can walk to either the Stalingrad or Laumiere metro stations and take a direct metro line (Number 5). It would be about a 10 minute walk and a 10 minute metro ride, I believe. But with kids it might be easier to take a taxi. The hotel will be glad to line one up for you if you request it. Even though the Gare du Nord is not far, give yourself plenty of time - you never know with Paris traffic.
