Chanced upon this dramatic town and stunning hotel at the end of our road trip between Cabourg and Perpignan in France when we set off west along the Vermillion Coast to catch a first glimpse of the Mediterranean. We arrived in Collioure as the sun set and liked the way that Les Caranques clung to the cliffs overlooking the fortress...

We chose this hotel based on Tripadvisor comments and were not disappointed. Fabulous view of Collioure from all rooms which are nicely decorated in modern style. Pleasant and helpful staff.Good secure car parking at hotel, which is a pleasant 10 minute walk from the cafes and restaurants of Collioure . Lovely breakfast room with panoramic view.

All rooms at the Caranques Hotel have beautiful views. The hotel is small only 14 rooms. The room was a good size. Located 10 minute walk from town either down the road or on the rock path next to the sea. Didn't get 5 stars because there was mold on the shower curtain and some on the grout. Easily cured...

Overall this hotel has spectacular views of the water and the town. We stayed in the suite one night $$$,then in a superior double room. It was very small, but again good views. Seemed cleaner than the suite but no airconditioning and no kettle for tea or coffee in room. Staff very pleasant , but not much English spoken. Breakfast...

We chose a suite which was a huge, very modern room with amazing views of the sea and the town. The comfortable big bed was in the middle of the room facing the large balcony which had sun loungers and table and chairs on it. Lying in bed at night with the sliding doors open, you could see the sea...

Collioure in august may not be to everyone's liking: packed full of tourists with too man people wanting to eat at the same time etc. BUT... This hotel is the perfect antidote to all of that. You get full views of the fort and famous harbour area from all of the rooms including the breakfast area. There are plenty of...

The rooms have an amazing view over the bay, and you can fall asleep to the sound of the waves breaking against the Cote Rocheuse. The rooms are well equipped and comfortable, if on the small side, and appear expensive, but the experience ultimately justifies it. The town centre is within easy walking distance along a path that winds around...

We booked one night in Collioure on our trip to the Costa Brava. Seeing the magnificent panorama and the nice, clean room, we added 2 nights extra. And on the way back again stayed here. The location is magnificent. Many small terraces, connected by stone stairs belong to the hotel and bring you down the rocks to the seaside. On...

We love Collioure and were on our second visit last year, early September. We expected cool weather but were very pleasantly surprised to find wonderful warm sunny days perfect for swimming and sunbathing almost to the 15th. On our previous visit we stayed with our adult children at the Hotel le Bon Port and felt it was OK but not...

This is a really fantastic place to stay. Yes it has some disadvantages but where else could you lie in bed and look straight out to sea just like a cabin are on an ocean liner. The rooms are small but the incredible views from them overrides this. There's no other hotel in Collioure that has the opportunity to see...
