Stayed in the Mercure on a weekend away with family to the area or Perpignan. Check in wasn't great. The receptionist saw us waiting then went into the back then came back after 5 minutes and didn't seem very happy. The reception area is a bit old fashioned but still clean and tidy. The rooms are nice and modern as...

We spent four nights in a standard room on the fifth floor. Our view was over the canal at the back of the hotel. The location was within walking distance of most of the major sights and had several good nearby restaurants. The room was a reasonable size, with two single beds joined together, adequate shelf/drawer/hanging space and plenty of...

I selected this hotel for its position which was ideal for getting around Perpignan It was comfortable and clean. The bathroom was small, but well designed to maximise the space available. The breakfast was okay with a reasonable choice on offer The bar had limited stocks and opening hours but was adequate for our purposes. It was unfortunate that my...

Perfectly comfortable hotel in a great location for visiting the old town. The room was comfortable and the bed appeared to be very new-6ft wide and memory foam. Very comfortable compared with many hotel beds. Sadly the air conditioning was not working at all throughout the whole of our stay and the hotel was very hot! The entrance doors were...

There are no 4 star hotels in the centre of Perpignan, so we chose this as being - we thought - the best of the 3 star choices. I suspect we were wrong. The rooms are small and tired looking; the air conditioning was not working in temperatures of almost 30C (82F) - something I feel strongly should be conveyed...

We stayed here for the Rugby League, it is ideally located to the ground and centre of Perpignan, it is very typical of a business type chain hotel with average sized rooms and bathroom, it was clean and tidy, the bed was a good size and comfortable. The window was small which made the room dark, and the air conditioning...

After checking out the locations of a number of hotels, I chose the Kyraid across the street, which is very poor, so for the same price I moved to the Mercure. It was a bit far coming from the train station, about a 15-20 minute walk, but excellent for exploring the old city, and the areas surrounding it. You are...

I booked two night for 3 of us to stay the weekend of Catalan Dragons v Wigan. The location of the hotel is excellent - just outside the old town and takes about 5 minutes to walk to the Castle. When we arrived it took us ages to actually get to the street where the hotel was - we could...

We enjoyed our one night stay in Perpignon The location is easy walking to the old town and the Castille. Taxi from airport was higher than hotel suggested at E12.5 We walked all over old town and then had dinner as we had only one night. Enjoyed dinner at Spaghetteri'Aldo's very much! Most tables were reserved and we are glad...

We spent four days in Perpignan and were very comfortable in the Mercure. Tastefully refurbished in strikingly modern style (the photos on the hotel's website show the old decor at the time of writing), decent sized rooms and the competent touch of Accor very much in evidence. This hotel is in a good location, just on the edge of the...
