There's not much to add than the title. Location is good and the house is pretty cool, being constructed against the cathedral wall, which you can touch from select rooms. Staff is courteous and pleasant too, but the beds are plain horrible, unless you enjoy sleeping on a wooden board. Breakfast is very limited, only featuring plastic wrapped and prefabricated...

Room was ample enough--sometimes I thought a bit tight--but the hotel's location was terrific! Parking was not as inexpensive as some reviews claimed--no free parking in front of hotel--garage nearby though, was not bad at 12 Euros/night. Thought breakfast was a bit expensive at 15 Euros/person. Staff was very friendly.

The Hotel is located in an ideal location for the travellor with the opportunity to park in front and unload before parking long term in the covered carpark with discount rate for the car park. No idea what the food is like as we ate out in the numerous near by restaurants and cafes. Very helpful staff and we stay...

Staff in the hotel were very friendly. Good beds and great pillows. Room was on the 3rd floor and facing south so it was quiet. Very nice and big bathroom. The wooden floors creaked a lot but that is something you can expect in a old house. The location is perfect !!!

The hotel is in a nice historic building. Old wooden floors but noticed little of the often mentioned creaking floors. Room was strange. Long and thin meaning that there was hardly room between the beds and the wall to walk through. The bathroom on the other hand was very large. The shower has to be the best we have seen...

Clean and comfortable, this hotel and its impressive entrance initially suggest greater refinement than it does, but the room rates offer good value. Our bed was comfortable, the room and bathroom very clean, and the furniture was attractive. The breakfast area (next to reception) is small and cramped in places, making seating limited on busy weekend mornings.

We stayed here for one night at the end of a holiday. The hotel has character, is very comfortable and is just a few minutes walk to the exquisite Place Stanislaus. There is some public parking immediately in front of the hotel, which makes for easy loading/unloading even if the parking spaces are full. A large, multi-story car park is...

What a charming hotel. Right next to a very old church (there are many churches) and three minutes walk to the main square, Stanislas. The wifi is a little slow but everything else is beautiful. Stanislas Square is a must-see with its beautiful ornate golden gates and fountains. it is particularly beautiful in the setting sun. The City Hall is...

Lovely hotel walking distance from the magnificent Place Stanislas & the old town. Rooms are charming & clean with a large bathroom & great walk in shower. Price quality ratio is high. Recommend a room over the flower courtyard which is pretty & quiet. Even though the floor boards creak it didn't worry me - part of the charm! Will...

Pleasant stopover on the way to the south or on the way back; we always stay there, in the same room, coming from the Netherlands on our way to the Haute Savoie or back, winter and summer. Beautiful old building, around the corner of Place Stanislas. Friendly, helpfull and courteous staff. Good breakfast. Rooms ok, not too large, but with...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
About 100m far from the Stanislas Place, in an old Episcopal house dated of 1609 where the primate of Lorraine lived, built between the Cathedral and the flower garden of the Nuns of the union, you will find the charm of yesteryear in those tester beds comparable with Prelates' cubicles in each room.Charming hotel decorated with simple, noble and warm material, get carried away by silence in a residence with a lot of character and with a modern convenience combining waxed furniture and walls impregnated with history. ... more   less
