How often is it that photos of your holiday destination don't quite match up to the real thing? Well with this gem you get what you see! On arrival we were delighted to receive some home made provisions and 'fridge' essentials! Snoops cottage was very clean, spacious, cool during the night-time and had everything you would want laid on. We...

We went back to Moulin de Samaran for a week at Easter, after staying there for a summer holiday a couple of years ago. We're never sure about revisiting a place we like as quite often the experience doesn't live up to expectations second time around. But to our delight (and relief!) the Moulin de Samaran didn't disappoint. The grounds...

We stayed in the cottage, which was lovely. So nice to look out and watch birds and butterflies and a red squirrel climbing the fig tree outside. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The welcome pack is a nice touch with homemade bread, butter, tea, milk and wine. They supplied us with directions, recommendations and maps, and wrote out...

We stayed in Knoops Cottage which was very cosy and private. We had our own terrace which was great for bbqs when the weather allowed. We were looking for a place to take some time out from busy lives and the moulin de samaran was the perfect sanctuary. Incredibly peaceful. The grounds are natural and beautiful with lots of places...

We travelled with a group of friends and family last summer. We chose the Moulin de Samaran because of its location and the amenities described on the website. The location is superb - rural France at its best, charming villages, stunning views and peace and quiet. The owners were very friendly and were happy to advise on local restaurants. The...

We have only just noticed this review and before responding and wonder whythere has been a six month delay between the visit and the comment. Even more surprising as nothing was said at the time and on our guests' departure we were thanked for a lovely visit. To take the complaints in order: 1 The sauna was not broken 2...

We have just had a wonderful two weeks in Figuier, the top floor gite of the Moulin de Samaran. The gite was clean, comfortable and well equipped, including a welcome pack and a plentiful supply of useful items like toilet rolls and dishwasher tablets (items that we have often found to be strictly rationed in other gites!) We had a...

On arrival at 6pm the gite was not ready and we chose to go to the nearest town to get some shopping in. According to the Moulin de Samaran website the following is included: 1. Complimentary wine, tea, coffee, butter, orange juice, water and homemade bread on arrival 2. All bed linens; hand, bath and pool towels (changed weekly); kitchen...

The Moulin de Samaran is a lovely house with roomy and well furnished accoodation. The grounds are lovely and we spent several days just sitting in the sun by the river with books. A quiet spot, there is plenty nearby to visit with the Pyrennees, Auch and Toulouse all only an hour away. The owners are very welcoming and cooked...
