We've just returned from a fantastic 3 nights stay in the 2 bedroom suite. The website looked very promising but this surpassed all expectations - elegant and spacious accommodation (our 2 rooms have been redecorated beautifully since the website photos were taken) and a really delightful host in Anthony. The location is spot on - a stunning town mansion, peaceful...

My husband and I spent 3 days in Bayeux. We chose this hotel because of location, price and availability. We were delightfully surprised. Anthony, who is the proprietor speaks perfect English and takes pride in his guesthouse. Every room was beautifully decorated. It's an old property, but kept up magnificantly. The bathroom was sparkling clean, the heating worked well and...

Upon entering the courtyard, we knew this was a special place. The home is exquisite. Decorated so beautifully. We stayed in the 2 bedroom 1 bath suite with our 2 teenage boys. Very quiet and peaceful. Location was perfect. just a couple of blocks from the main street and down the street from the Tapestry and the the Cathedral. The...

We had a great stay at the Tardif. The manager speaks perfect English and was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and spacious. While filled with antiques, the furnishing were still comfortable and the bathroom in our family room was recently remodeled and in perfect, modern condition. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this lovely,...

As others have said this is a small, well-located B&B, clean, with fairly large rooms, antiques and a very local feel to it. Breakfast is very good and feels basically like a genuine homemade French meal. Cable TV is provided, but not a phone which seems quite odd. The town and mentioned sites are walking distance. The proprietor is friendly...

What a superb hotel! Anthony is very welcoming to this perfectly located, wonderfully quiet and private location. The cathedral and the tapestry are literally steps away. The grounds are beautiful and the hotel itself is immaculate.

Steps from the Bayeux Cathedral and a couple of blocks from restaurants and stores, this is a quiet oasis. 18th. century mansion on lovely grounds behind walls just off a busy street. Our room was huge with a couch and extra day bed as well as huge bathroom with dressing table, that looked out over the front lawn. Rooms are...

We stayed at the Tardif last week. This is not a modern hotel so if that's what you're looking for, this is not the place. If on the other hand, you want to feel that you are having a truly French experience, the Tardif is a wonderful place. The home itself is lovely, filled with beautiful antiques and furniture. The...

We spent two months in Europe, with about two weeks in France. One of the most enjoyable places we stayed was at this property. We loved the old world charm and "feel" of the Hotel Tardif. We planned our trip to include a variety of lodgings and this 18th century manor house was an amazing experience. Our room was very...

We just returned from France, including a two night stay at the Hotel Tardif. We were so impressed with the location (right by the Bayeux Cathedral), but were even more pleased with the wonderful 18th century house and the great service. Anthony, the owner, is a fantastic host -- he is even going to the trouble of sending us some...
