Stayed for one night on Easter Sunday in room number 5. Lovely sized room, comfortable and clean. Didnt eat in the restaurant but the breakfast was lovely and served by very friendly, welcoming staff. Infact everyone of the staff was friendly, from the reception to the cleaning and house keeping ladies. Even the cat was a friendly soul who was...

Stayed for the Easter week end in room 9. It's a quirky Inn, very chilled and relaxed with friendly staff. Bedroom was very warm and cosy and the water was hot, though the shower was not state of the art. We ate in the restaurant both nights of our stay because the food was very good and specials included dressed...

What a great place to stay, full of character, charming public areas and very cosy. The guest bedrooms were very clean and comfortable, plenty of tea and coffee provided and quality biscuits! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was top class, great selection of cereals and cooked options, the full English was huge! Would definitely go back, it's...

What a sweet place, staff were so lovely, fabulous food, thanks Chef and sorry we were a little late... It makes a nice change to see that the oast was unspoilt, it kept it's charm and ambiance. We were made to feel so welcome and nothing was too much trouble... Room 9, or was it 6.... :-)

We had a lovely 3 night stay in one of the roundel rooms. It was warm and the bed comfy. There was a lot of choice at breakfast although the evening restaurant meals were more limited. The food was ok and it was helpful to be able to eat there on our first night as we arrived late. There are...

Breakfast was abundant, and overall the price with breakfast included was amazing value ! The most delightful thing, was how nice they all were, particularly the owner. Fun,interesting to talk to and very obliging. She could...

My family and I spent one night here and were made to feel very welcome. The food was fantastic and our room was very comfortable even though there were four of us in there. Everyone was very friendly and it was interesting to stay in a traditional hop drying building that you see dotted around the countryside.

The Playden Oasts Inn is on a country road with streetlights a 20 mins slow walk from Rye. Uphill but not very steep. Half hour walk from Train Station. A Taxi from the Station cost £5 if you have heavy suitcases. There is a Supermarket and a Toilet opposite the Train Station. Buses to the Inn appear to be few...
