Great welcome, enthusiastic and friendly staff in a superb location, with secure parking, a short walk from the harbour. Our room was clean, although the decor was dated and tired and needed a make over. However the en-suite bathroom was spacious and well equipped. We would question whether the stay was good value for money, considering the price we paid... More

Hotel L’Ecrin lives up to its billing as a romantic setting with quiet rooms and lots of amenities. Originally owned by a wealthy local merchant, this former estate was perfect for us. Located above the historic and beautiful town of Hon Fleur, it is the perfect location for settling in and relaxing between day trips to nearby sites. The staff... More

Fascinating collection of artefacts in the rooms in the main house and lovely conservatory for meals. Extremely comfortable bed and good shower but common areas a little "tired". Warm welcome from delightful staff and excellent buffet breakfast. Added benefit of car parking. Will definitely return.

Overall a pleasant hotel. We spent one night, our first night in France. Lugging our luggage up and down 3 floors was not fun. The room was very nice and comfortable. Breakfast was good and the staff friendly and helpful. Location is very convenient to the harbor area, where we walked for dinner. My only complaint is the rather dangerous... More

We loved this hotel. It is ideally situated for a short pleasant walk to the harbour and amenities, our ground floor room was comfortable and clean, and the breakfast excellent. Then there is the beautiful garden, the great pool, and a private car park. We felt blessed.

We had a beautiful room overlooking the garden. The bed was beautifully appointed and the closets hidden in the wall. The location was great only a few minutes walk to the harbor. The staff was so helpful in getting us settled and assisting with luggage. They gave us great recommendations for restaurants and sightseeing. We loved the hospitality. Breakfast was... More

The hotel is a few minutes walk from the port and shops. It was easy to find but entering the car park with a large car was only possible thanks to the reception clerk coming out and giving me hand signals to manage the gate! The street outside the hotel is also very narrow and should be single direction traffic... More

I don't understand why people rated this so highly. It looked tired and worn out. Itchy musty wool blankets, red walls, cheap prints of sketches of naked women on the walls. At the bottom of the stairs was a big rectangular fish tank that you see in cheap Chinese restaurants. The place gave us the creeps. We stayed in the... More

Great stay in a lovely little town. Hotel is very traditional and well preserved. We stayed in the main house in a great room with a four poster bed. Off street parking so ideal if you care about where you park. Nice gardens. Fabulous (French/continental) breakfast - orange juice is freshly pressed and was great. Short walk to the centre... More

From check in, where the staff were so helpful, to a huge breakfast, big tidy rooms, and no request too much trouble; what was there not to like? Nothing! Add in location; a short walk to many superb restaurants, the harbour and many local attractions. All that says why consider anywhere else in Honfleur? Sure, it's a three star hotel,... More
