I have visited this hotel twice since I last reviewed it. Once in March and again in July, just before and after the coronavirus lockdown. What I liked on my very first visit was the number of english language TV channels; far more than you normally find in French hotels. However, on my March visit, I found that most of these english channels were not working, and although I complained, and was told that action was beng taken, the matter remained unresolved during my March stay. By the time of my visit in July, most of the english channels were working again, but Euronews in English was still down. As I have commented many times on Trip Advisor, I consider that the standard Ibis Rouge Hotel room is unsuitable for double occupancy unless you are sharing a single suitcase. There is a woeful shortage of wardrobe space and bathroom shelf space. It would be a simple measure for Ibis to install one or more additional shelves on the bathroom wall. However, this particular Ibis, has some bigger rooms, which are actually intended for triple or quadruple occupancy. These are more expensive unless you are able to claim a free upgrade by virtue of membership of Accor's loyalty programme. These rooms have numbers ending in x50, x60, x70, x80 and x90. The restaurant is a very good low cost option, especially if you like pizza. They also have a regular menu which is adequate but not very extensive. The breakfast buffet in all Accor hotels, is not what it normally would be, because of restrictions imposed by the coronavirus pandemic. The fruit salad buffet is most affected. Hotels are no longer able to put out all the various bowls of fruit for the customers to help themselves to what they want. They now can only offer a selection of individual fruit (salad) portions. The big self service bowls of orange and pink grapefruit segments are no longer available, nor is the big bowl of pineapple chunks. Rooms are clean and well maintained. Staff are very helpful.

Pleasant stay, room comfortable for 2 adults and one child. Staff helpful. Was able to get a fresh coffee from the front desk at about 5.30 am. Room somewhat stuffy and too warm. The 2 windows worked well to change the air.

With a location just off the main road into Le Havre along the Seine the hotel is ideal for travellers using the port. Rooms are of a good size as was the en suite and all areas were very clean. The bed was comfortable and large with extra pillows available in the wardrobe. Staff were welcoming and friendly and had followed our request for a low floor room (ground floor). The basement car park 7 euros was a bonus and a code for entry and exit is required from reception. Payable street parking is available but popular and being a commercial district is not easy to find. The restaurant within the hotel provided good meals at a reasonable price and was popular. The buffet breakfast available in the same room was also excellent with a good selection of food and drinks. Would certainly stay in this hotel again.

Big and clean room. Confortable bed (standard dimensions not thise small french bed). Only complain at the reception with nly one person in charge. Having a problem with the key not working I went to the front desk but the lady was busy on the ohone and had to wait about 10 inutes for her to finish the call with a customer and have my key fixed.

From arrival to departure (3 days) we had superb personal service (despite my Scottish accent). The room was exceptionally good value for money and the location is perfect for access to and from the car ferry terminal. Would recommend the hotel without hesitation.
