This Hotel was beautifully situated and was simply full of charm and character - shame on the earlier reviewer who thought it was shabby - they clearly have never heard of 'shabby chic' or indeed could possibly find such a nice place in the centre of a fairly large city at the price....I wonder if such a Hotel for the...

What a shame! Considering the excellent location, one would have thought that a lot more could made of this hotel. It is perfect for access to the cathedral and the medieval town. But the hotel......your first impression of overall shabbiness deepens with every step you take in to the gloomy interior. The stairs up from the reception are barely covered...

The hotel was fine. Old-fashioned charm. Easy to find. Make sure you know how to get to the parking garage (underneath the church of St. Ouen) before you arrive. From there it's a short walk to the hotel. Front desk staff were pleasant and efficient. Our room the first night was fine- we weren't expecting luxury, it was perfectly adequate...

We stayed just one night at the Hotel de la Cathedrale and had a fair experience. We paid E143 for a room with two double beds. Breakfast was E9.50 and parking – about a 5 minute walk away – E11 for 24 hours. The hotel was clean and we found reception well-manned. There is a lift but it was very...

Unfortunately, this hotel is an example of how not to convert a beautiful historic building into a hotel. The modifications and furnishings are cheap and without charm, the bed is lumpy and uncomfortable, and the toilet compartment (separate from the room with sink and shower) is so small that you can't close the door when it is being used. The...

We spent one night here in mid Sept. Located on a very quaint street and close to attractions. I loved the courtyard, which was very peaceful and we were even served a cafe. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast was a step above most that you will find. I highly recommend this hotel to others.

Great location for seeing the sights, helpful staff, beautiful internal courtyard for sitting in, fabulous breakfast in an equally fabulous room. Bedroom nicely furnished and spacious if a bit shabby, especially in the shower room. Mattress very uncomfortable; could feel the springs and was sagging in the middle. The combination of the quiet location and (apparently) nonexistent sound insulation meant...

I stayed here for one night with my husband and young baby. While the location is excellent for tourists, it wasn't very convenient arriving by car. We had to park in a car park 10 minutes away...not the best when travelling with a baby. The hotel was lovely and very welcoming and had a gorgeous courtyard to pass the afternoon...

The location was really good. In the city center. The parking was really closed to the hotel (11€ for 24 hours). The hotel was a tipical French building with a lovely court. The rooms were very nice and clean. The bathrooms were very old and the wc-room was so little that it was impossibile to use it with the door...

Stayed for one night only - thank goodness. Located in a dank, slightly ominous and dark laneway adjacent to the cathedral, this is definitely a hotel that's trading on its location and implied olde worlde charm. A major disappointment and a rip-off to boot. Although the outdoor courtyard enclosed by beautiful timbered walls is charming, that's where the hotel's allure...
