We would like to say that we really enjoyed our stay at La Samsonelle in Fontevraud- l’Abbaye. Not only is it a lovely part of France but the property is a very good place to stay and it was one of the best equipped and beautifully clean houses that we have rented over our many years visiting France. The garden...

We had the pleasure of staying here for 3 weeks - a mixture of a holiday plus having French lessons with the owner Sylvie. A spacious place, which covers everything you will need whilst away. Beautiful gardens constantly tended to by Mark and Sylvie. Fontevraud itself is a beautiful town and the Abbey is amazing. The forest nearby is wonderful...

Our recent holiday at La Samsonelle was originally determined by having fortunately won 2 nights' stay there. We added another 2 nights and can only say we wished we'd had more time in this delightful place. Our hostess Sylvie was a charming and friendly person who gave us a warm welcome to this lovely gite, which was immaculately kept, very...

The cottage is very well equipped from the kitchen to toys for the kids. And of course, there's the swimming pool which our kids totally enjoyed. They couldn't...

We absolutely loved the gite La Samsonelle - well appointed and very typically French; well equipped; very comfortable; and central to the village restaurants, shops, crafts and the Abbey. The new swimming pool was a welcome bonus after a hot day touring. Lots of places of interest to visit around the Loire and of course, the wine tasting. Sylvie and...
