While I cannot take from the warm welcome and the idilic location the rest of it is debatable! The sleeping accommodation / bathroom was fine...noting that would qualify for a 4+ rating. The breakfast was average. So considering this and the price it's not worth it. If wanted a base, somewhere to sleep and a good breakfast this would not...

Chose this B&B for an overnight stopover near Angouleme on the basis of the great TripAdvisor reviews and were not at all disappointed. It was much like staying with friends. The room was very nicely decorated and appointed. We ate breakfast on the terrace with a lovely view of Angouleme. Only problem we found was finding Champ Fleuri. We drove...

We stayed three nights at Champs Fleuri, with friends, for the annual meeting of "Les Circuits des Remparts" in Angouleme in the middle of September. We were travelling in Vintage Alvises and this was our second vist to this chambre d'hote. Barbara and Xavier are perfect hosts. From the minute we arrived we were made very welcome and were immediately...

This is really like staying in the guesthouse of friends. Bordering a golf course, this B&B property has an outstanding view of the old city. I stayed in the Remparts room (which has the old city view) and really enjoyed the old wood beams and farmhouse atmosphere. The room was spacious, with a firm mattress and modern bathroom. Barbara and...

Champ Fleuri was a perfect find for a night recharging on a drive down to the Dordogne. Everything was as described and expected but what was unexpected was the warm hospitality shown to us by Barbara and Xavier. Barbara even offered ( and we accepted ) to drive us into Angouleme centre for the evening and also recommended a great...

We were travelling across France and needed somewhere half way to where we were headed - and as I had visietd Angouleme some thirty years ago we looked online for somewhere there for the night. As Champ Fleuri came top on the TA rankings I called and we were in luck, they had room.Thankfully we had Sat nav as clearly...

This B&B, situated a short cycle ride south of Angouleme, (up a steep hill adjoining the golf course), was a delight to find after a long hot day cycling. Barbara and Xavier greeted us warmly, and treated us to a cold beer on their simply fabulous poolside terrace overlooking the city. This view is awesome... The ground floor room we...

This is a wonderful place to stay, the hosts are very welcoming and friendly. We arrived by motorcycle as part of a tour of France, it is ideal for the motorcyclist as it has secure parking right outside. Angouleme is a short walk (albeit a fairly steep one) from here, where it is possible to find good bars and restaurant...

Historic old sheep farm very nicely transformed into a B&B with a gated entrance for safe parking. Easy enough to find with either satnav or following signs to the golf club. Huge garden. The rooms are quiet and great fun being plenty big enough and yet retaining some of the quirkiness demanded by the old building. Nice selection of old,...

Excellent in every way. Note entrance is big white double door & the road is signposted for the golf club. If you want to stream movies or watch a giant plasma tv not for you. Taxi into town €12. Great views from my room. Owners are lovely as is the pool area.
