Avoid this place. Rude, inefficient reception staff. We asked 5 times to have a room with functioning air conditioning, which was unacceptable with a 4 month old baby in tow. It's situated in the middle of an industrial estate, although you wouldn't know it from the website. We enjoyed leaving and cancelled our second night stay after the worst customer... More

We arrived to this hotel in July 2015. The Château is beautiful. Unfortunately we were put in the annex, which is not at all like the Château. The air conditioning was working but the room was depressing and the shower was not working well, as water was splashing everywhere. When we insisted on being in the Château they gave us... More

Our first stop on our four day tour of southern France was at Chateau De La Pioline a great place to base yourself to visit the lovely surrounding villages and Aix en Provence city centre. It is out of town a bit so you do need a car. The Chateau was delightful very peaceful. The rooms were very nice with... More

A gemstone hidden behind a commercial area as we know so well from the entry into the modern urban environment: many car dealer shops and warehouse type shops. A gemstone that however needs a lot of polishing before it can enter into the premier league of 5 star venues. The building has the simple beauty of a French chateau of... More

Chateau de la Pioline is sited alongside an industrial estate, but forget that as it is incredibly convenient and easy to get to from the motorway, and very quick to taxi into the centre of Aix. Once inside the grounds of the Chateau, with its fine trees, you are completely unaware what is outside and it is a haven of... More

This charming hotel is a real jewelry with a lot of history. We stayed only one night but we fall in love. Beautiful garden with a lot of secret places inside, it was like fairy tail. It is only 8 Kms from Aix-En Provence but this is the main reason to be quiet and relaxing. The staff was very helpful... More

We stayed for night here and loved it. The hotel is beautiful and even though it is just 8 Km's from town, you feel so isolated and like you are hidden away in the country side. Jean Paul, the Manager was very helpful and did all he could to make our trip special. A great hotel in Aix to use... More

Chateau de la Pioline's attribute is its location if you use it as a base for touring around Provence. As Aix is in the Centre of Provence the hotel has good road access to many places to visit. For us, it was Nice, Avignon, Rousillon, Marseilles, etc. The hotel obviously has old world charm and worth the experience. The restaurant... More

We stayed at the Chateau as part of the TedX in Aix program in May. It is an oasis in the midst of a busy commercial district. We were warmly received. The staff were invariably helpful and went out of their way - providing some coffee and croissants after breakfast had closed. Our room was spacious and comfortable, well appointed... More

When we arrived the first impression is very nice but within seconds you realise the grass has not been cut for as while. We have been upgraded which is very nice - the room is big but furnished with all kind of different styles and the cheap lampshades do not give the impression that any money is spent in this...
